We traveled as a couple. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hairdryer could be rent for free at the receprion. The room was tidy and well air-condotioned. Room became cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable. The Hotel is well located near the City, within walking distance.

The room was fine although it lacked the refinements of shackles and chains normally associated with the kind of swingers party I attend. It was very friendly and although we were slightly noisy I noticed that next doors tv certainly drowned the sound. I'm not sure how they could sleep with it on that loud. They should really think of...

This hotel is excellent value being right next to Tower Bridge. It's really convenient, right by DLR, tube and buses. Short walk to Brick Lane too for curries. Really friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Comfy beds, good shower, not too much outside noise when windows closed (noisy traffic otherwise). Room tip - get the top floor as...

The hotel itself is a very handy location and there is an onsite restaurant that serves a nice range of 'pub style' food at reasonable prices. The Travelodge breakfast is excellent and now comfortable matches the Premier Inn one. This is particularly useful as the local area can be very busy - we tried finding somewhere to eat on a...

I stayed for 5 nights. The food was included in my package and was average. The room was basic with not enough plug sockets and it was cold. However the staff were brilliant and made an average stay into a very good one. The hotel is in a great location and really close to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge...

Stayed for 3 nights for valentines. Smaller room than other travelodges we have stayed in which may bother some people. But we didn't see a problem as we were really only there to sleep. Kept very clean everyday. Excellent location, 5 mins away from the tube and 5 mins from tower bridge and the tower of London. Only bad points...

We visited for 3 nights, February 11th - 14th. Hotel location is superb. Literally around the corner from Tower Hill Tube, 2 minutes walk. 5 - 10 minutes walk to Tower Bridge, and about 15 minutes to HMS Belfast. Well worth a walk down, £16 pounds pp for HMS Belfast, but it's well worth it. Tower Hill tube station will...

This is centrally located hotel, rooms have recently been (badly) repainted and strong smell of paint in some rooms and corridors. Stairway is really cold, rooms need a revamp as there are insufficient plugs and our room 294 had a iron burn in the carpet. On a positive note, spoons and telco metro nearby

Stayed here recently for a pre-valentines getaway! My second time staying here again as its such as good location! As we all know London can be very expensive. Especially staying central. But this location was a bargain for price, 3 nights, 4 days for the price you could pay for one night in other well known hotels. But if all...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
