Was a good comfy hotel to stop when on a budget. We weren't at the hotel much other than to sleep as we were out in the city. As far as location is concerned it's hit and miss, hit because it's so close to whitechapel, tower bridge and the Tower of London. Miss because it's next door to tower gateway...

The company is tightening its belt on expenses so we are reduced to budget hotels these days! As it goes, it was was it was, and it was OK. The room was clean but a bit bare - a piece of wood sticking out of the wall and a hard plastic chair that purports to be a work station, and...

Hotel is clean and tidy, rooms are basic and back onto the railway lines but that wasn't a problem for me. The staff work hard but this hotel is under staffed. Not enough staff at breakfast to clear and clean tables. No staff at the bar on an evening as they are doing other duties. The only food on offer...

It's a Travelodge, so you know what you're going to get. Reception staff are helpful and friendly, all the amenities seemed to work. Our room was comfy without being luxurious, we had everything we needed for a one night stay in London. Nice touch is a fan in the room, though you do have to borrow a hair dryer from...

Stayed here for four nights from 28 November to 2 December to celebrate my 30th birthday. The hotel is in a fantastic location within easy walking distance of Tower Hill tube station. The staff here are really friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, they genuinely seemed interested in our plans for the day and were...

Having stayed at this hotel on a few occasions with friends and my mrs, i can honestly say it is the perfect location. Pub located next door which is great, and a wetherspoons about 5 minutes walk. Ideal for the tower of london. Tower hill tube station around 7 mins walk away so ideal base to stay and visit london

Have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. Fantastic location, especially for DLR and Tube stations. Stall are consistently professional and accommodating. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

If you looking for somewhere to just sleep and shower then here is perfect. Even though my room was within 10m of the overground station next door the windows were sound proof. Bed was comfortable and TV had full free view channels with TV guide.

Stayed here over a weekend on business. Nice location close to Tower Hill station and was kept clean and tidy throughout. Breakfast was average but would stay again due to its location and ease to get into the city

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
