I've been going here for 6 years now and it's a great hotel and restaurant. I love that it's so dog friendly and the staff are extremely professional and helpful and super friendly. I've never been disappointed - it's always a wonderful experience here. Thank you

Stayed last week for 2 nights. Had the cheapest of the rooms but still very good - quirky and everything we we were expecting. Lovely shower, cosy bed, unfortuntalely we asked for more tea and coffee one evening but was not brought up to us but no big deal. Had breakfast option - initially unsure of chicken sausage and turkey...

Dear A B Thank you for your very kind review that I will be sure to share with my team. Seems like Turkey Bacon is all the rage at the moment but I would also suggest that you try our Eggs Royale which is fabulous. With regards to the works around London Bridge, the journey is now better than it's...

Brilliant hotel which is conveniently situated. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Clean, roomy and well equipped bedrooms with comfy beds. Nice and quiet at night too. Great bathroom. Nice breakfast. Couldn't fault this at all and will return soon. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed here as on the list for a Virgin experience for the shard. Firstly parking I'm not sure where it is luckily found a space on the local housing estate . Hotel reception is a glass screen with a clip board . We were supposed to be upgraded I would hate to have seen the other room. Some of the...

Dear DKWilli Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and I am sorry that it did not meet your expectations. The hotel is quirky and our reception and lounge area does not look like a ubiquitous four star hotel. Our own website does give a very good indication of what to expect before arrival and we are...

Stayed for one night. About ten minute walk from tower bridge so great location. Rooms very clean, good strong shower, complimentary magazines in room with complimentary free use of mobile phone and wifi. Air conditioning was good and quiet. Black out curtains and really comfy bed meant a great nights sleep Breakfast was superb. Full Veggie breakfast followed by croissants,...

I was really looking forward to staying here as it's in such a great part of London but what a total disappointment. We rented the Lucy suite on the top floor with the hot tub, and although the views were great, the room was scruffy with chipped paintwork and curtains hanging off the tracks. There were coffee making facilities -...

We really liked this hotel it was clean and modern. We had a great view from our room, as you can see from the picture. The room was really nice and the shower room was too. The main downside was the hotel wasn't close to a tube station and someone had been smoking on our floor, I was surprised the...

The new hotel has some weaknesses. You can't open the windows in the room, so the clima inside is very very bad especially while sleeping. In the bathroom was mold and it smelled like this. The breakfast was limited and the quality was low.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
