First stay in this hotel in London. It is a very nice and modern hotel next to the tower bridge. The location is very calm. Many pubs and restaurant in this area. The ideal starting point to visit the southbank/southwark quarter of London.

Stayed here for two nights in Dec 2016, and found it a refreshingly different boutique hotel at a reasonable price for its location. The staff were reasonably friendly, the decor was quirky, yet stylish, and I appreciated the unusual room layout and good use of space. Especially good was the placement of the desk behind the bed in such a...

This review is for the restaurant! My friend and I visited the restaurant of this hotel in October. I must say that it was fairly empty so can't say if this is the norm, but the service and food was excellent. The manager and wait or were friendly, without being pushy and made recommendations from the menu. We both had...

Easy check in. All reception staff were accommodating to our needs - special thanks to Isac for helping my mother and I with a personal problem at check out. Cleaners were efficient & helpful. Nice touch by being able to request free fresh milk for tea. Can walk to London Bridge station passing lots of cafes & restaurants in about...

Good location, only 15 minutes by taxi from London Bridge station. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. The square the hotel is situated on is quite nice. Didn't try the food so therefore I cannot comment. Overall a hassle free stay.

The staff were great, the room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. One of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Not to far from the underground 10 minuet was with short legs, plenty to see on the way.

My wife and I stayed here for a Saturday and Sunday night and for a London hotel, it's probably the furthest you could be from a tube station, a 15 minute walk to London Bridge tube station which is also not an ideal station for most central London places. We normally went to elephant and castle on Northern line then...

Dear woolleyterrier Thank you for your comments. Even as a Londoner the tube network is always a bit of a challenge. I think that Bill Bryson's book sums it up perfectly. London Bridge is in fact only 3 stops from Westminster and 4 from Green Park which is about as central as it gets, next to Bond Street and a...

4 nights in clean and comfortable room. All facilities worked properly. Vey nice bathroom. In the room the hotel offers coffee tea and hot water. There is small minibar with water . Small lobby and dining room that serves continental and English breakfast as well. I have eaten better breakfasts in my life. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel...

Stayed one night in this hotel, tucked away between Borough and Tower Bridge. Excellent value for money considering Its location. Bedroom - comfy bed, modern decor and creative use of space to give the room for a nice, unconventional feel. Good bathroom and spacious shower although the shower itself was quite weak and the towels were basic rather than luxury....

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
