Myself and a colleague checked into this hotel for 3 nights on buisness. The hotel is terrible - it is in a very poor state of repair with broken tiles on the floor of both of our bathrooms and exposed electrical wires coming out of the switch in my room. The bath tap came of in my colleagues hand and...

Never been in such a poor condition hotel. Window panels were in very poor condition. Toilet/ bathroom in very bad condition. Bed made our backs hurt (I´m having some spinal issues and my wife was bregnant). Web page pictures are really misleading as well as mentioning of bar and nightclub. Can not recommend, not when price is at that level.

From the moment we checked in and the chap at reception didn't end his mobile phone conversation while he gave us our key we knew we were in for an 'interesting' stay. He didn't even tell us which way to go to our rooms. The room was too small for the two beds that were squashed into it., the furniture...

Tiny, worn, cold ugly rooms. No shower one morning. Staff wasn't present when needed roomkey. And we where the lucky ones. Our friends lived directly above the underground, and didn't get much sleep. Uncozy restaurant, with a boring, dull breakfast.

No, me neither but that, unfortunately, is where you might end up if you book a stay in the Ascot hotel. When I arrived I was checked in and given a key to a room on the second floor only to find it had someone elses belongings inside. Returning to reception the guy behind the desk says "someone else in...

Well, where should I start. I really should have read the other reviews on Trip Advisor before I booked, but like the others, I was impressed with their website, photos and thought I'd got a last minute bargain. On checking in we were taken out of the hotel and down the road, to a door above a restaurant with no...

Must warn against staying in this hotel. Even though London hotels are generally not cheap, it is outrageous to pay these prices for the Ascot Hyde Park Hotel. They have started renovating some of the rooms but even then the windows are leaky so that the room is freezing cold, hairdryer doesn’t work, no kettle, unfriendly staff at the very...

Ok the positive stuff first: Location: Really couldn't be better. Come straight out of Paddington station and you are there: Price: You really can't grumble at 35 Quid. Now the negative: Staff: Strangely disinterested service. At first I thought it was me, but then read these reviews and see that the staff are disinterested with all their guests.I'd booked online...

it was clean but tatty but we overlooked that as it wasn't expensive. staff were friendly & helpful. breakfast was a bit irritating because the room was small & there weren't enough tables & chairs to go around. The continental breakfast was perfectly fine though. if you leave your luggage they charge you, we left a suitcase and was charged...
