City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

Room spotless but mattress bit firm for my preference. I would have preferred to have use of the room earlier enough to change for the wedding we were attending close by. Staff so helpful but light & space in basement facilities not ideal.

Reasonable hotel good location but no car parking facilities considered it quite expensive for an hotel especially as it was a Friday night & located in the City which logically is a 'quiet' night', not sure I would use it again

Danni, there shouldn’t be a problem with you getting a table for dinner at that time but even if you were very delayed you can get a more limited menu on room service 24/7.

No you don't have to book. It is usually quite quiet but it wouldn't hurt to book if you feel unsure.

There is no smoking in the hotel. If you get a room with a balcony you may smoke on the balcony. Not sure of what you mean by the phrase "standing bath top", but if it means "bath tub", then yes they do. Separate tub and shower areas

Yes it was a separate large bath tub snd shower. We aren’ Smokers so I don’t know the hotels policy in smoking in the room.
