Having stayed at other London hostels, surprised at he relatively high ratings for this hostel. Suppose it may be the low price. Rooms right beside the main train tracks going into London Waterloo train station so have trains coming in to the station until after midnight and then they start up again early. Can be hard to sleep. Shower room...

the staff was super, the breakfast delicious, the atmosphere was really friendly and open =) I recommend the hostel to everybody. The only disadvantage of the great location is the noise but with earplugs you'll be fine =)

The walrus was my very first time staying at a hostel, and it exceed all my expectations. The location is amazing, 2 minutes aways from the tube station, you can see big ben from the window. I was concerned about the close proximity to the train, because I'm a light sleeper, but I didn't even use the earplugs. On my...

Well first The location is awesome! This place felt like home after only two days. The staff was great and what really made the place. I could see the London eye from my dorm window!. The bar is in point, the bathrooms clean and hanging out after hours at the picnic tables with new friends was one of the highlights...

My first visit to London and couldn't have chosen a hostel with a better location. I found it easy to walk to all the sights, and for things a little further away the subway is literally a stones throw away. Great service, awesome little bar down stairs with great cocktails. Quite trendy. I stayed in a dorm 18 beds and...

Incredible place! Cannot compliment the staff enough. They were respectful and helpful and very fun, easy to chat up. My bank account was even unexpectedly frozen at one point, and one member on staff let me use his phone to call the company to have it sorted out. I owe a lot to him! Loved the downstairs bar- was open...

The location made getting around a breeze, and right next to a tube station as well. The staff was unbelievably friendly, and even carried our bags to our room. The beds were springy but not bad if you sleep on your duvet. Outlets were a bit scattered around the room but not that big of a problem. Showers had very...

Stayed at the walrus at the start of May, and had a great time. It's about a ten minute walk to Westminster and five mins to the nearest underground station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of free amenities, including towels, breakfast, printing etc. I was on the top floor in a six person room, spacious enough, but I...

We stayed here for 5 days and it is our second stay here at the Walrus, I mentioned last time the staff are amazing and they ARE! But the toilets and showers are just so bad.. They have no water pressure and the toilets barely flush toilet paper, so you waste 5 minutes each time waiting for the paper to...

Went here with my girlfriend and stayed three nights. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the pub downstairs had a cheerful and cosy atmosphere. Location was good, five minutes from Lambeth North tube station and also close to Waterloo station (therefore also quite noisy depending on the tube hours). Would definitely stay here again.
