We had been wanting to try this hotel for a few years so now things are slowly getting back to normal we thought we would go ahead. The hotel has an amazing lobby with fantastic architecture turned imaginatively into a welcoming bar and reception area. The staff were welcoming and professional. We stayed one night and had a deluxe double room on the 4th floor which was very average. A view on to a sloping roof about a metre away from the window. The fittings in the room are quite cheap looking although the bathroom is nicely appointed and has everything you need. We booked breakfast, keen to enjoy what is described on booking.com as “very good”. It was poor for a 5 star hotel. Served in the casual bar area (comfy relaxing chairs and very small tables). Tea & coffee took about 10 mins to arrive (how difficult is it to have it almost ready?) , nothing particularly interesting at the buffet - just the usual, the toast machine wasn’t working so no toast to have with my cooked breakfast (they did sort it shortly after), no pancakes, french toast, kippers etc. You couldn’t order any specials. I would have expected all of this from a 5 star hotel. I wish we had booked another hotel and probably saved £200.

I was so looking forward to my stay at the St. Pancras Renaissance. I've admired this hotel location and appearance for many years. Firstly - I was checked-in, by a wonderful young lady, who cheerfully accommodated my early arrival. Quickly, however, I was disappointed with the level of construction and disruption in and around the lobby and restaurant facilities. Thankfully the adjacent train stations offer many options, much less expensive, so this was not a problem after all. The lemons were in room 245. I arrived to find the bathroom dank and dark, aged furnishing, and the HVAC completely inoperative. Worst of all the bathroom had one of those mid-shin bathtubs that requires surfing-like agility to keep from falling out. Also, the doorstop of death (guaranteed toe breaker) was positioned right as you step out of the shower. The room was also extremely warm and uncomfortable. Agreeing with other reviews, it takes forever for someone to respond to your needs. The phone might ring 100 times before being answered. Clearly this hotel is understaffed and maybe COVID is a factor, but don't charge me more than $300 USD/night if you are understaffed - please. Now, the lemonade. I was finally moved to room 433. What a difference! This room was in the Barlow wing and was phenomenal. Wonderfully appointed, clean and with a walk-in shower. Yeah!!! That is what I expected from this hotel all along so, all's well that ends well. However, future guests be ware - don't accept rooms on the 2nd floor and know that you'll need to eat all of your meals elsewhere. There are plenty of good choices and this hotel is truly location, location + location!!!

The service has consistently been atrocious in this hotel. I called Room Service and the Guest Services desk and no one answered the phone. I went down to Reception and after I explain to the person behind the counter that no one is answering the phone she tells me to please step aside and let her check in a guest who arrived AFTER me. At breakfast, I ordered coffee that I had to request three times before it was delivered. Lastly, when I returned to my room at 3pm, after spending 6hrs around town, I discovered that no one had bothered to make the room yet. When I called Guest Services no one apologized they just told me they would send someone up to do the room. All this in the first twenty four hours of my stay. I shudder to think what the next few days will be like.

A historic hotel adjacent to Pancras Station You can check in directly through the cafe from the second floor. It is different from 4 or 5 stars that have a chain. Hall restaurant Very good atmosphere. Space you want to use.

Pretty bland experience overall. Such as shame-have wanted to stay in this hotel for ages but waited for a special occasion. On arrival the hotel looks fab, beautifully ornate building outside and pretty good front of house. Once you get into the hotel, however, it could be anywhere. A bland, cream box with zero in the way of features. Many of the walls were scuffed and scratched which not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Our room over looks……wait for it…… a brick wall approximately 75cm from our window. The only view or feature is the ornate drain cover. Despite a private party going on in the main bar area -the guest bar closes at 11 so there is not night cap to be had. The final insult is, despite spending the finer part of £300 on a room, the ‘fast’ WiFi is an extra £15. On a positive note is super close to the station and you get free slippers. On balance I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
