Stayed overnight as part of a birthday celebration, a nice touch from the hotel too with a free cake. The room was comfortable and as you would expect, spectacular. A problem with the TV was fixed within minutes of reporting but I was charged incorrectly upon checking out. Apart from that, everything is as you would expect with it being...

Done Claridges, Savoy and Dorchester . Have to say The Ritz is my favourite . Pure theatre . A fairy tale of a hotel . Beautiful suite , great service , perfect location . Loved the bar. Amazing cocktails. Slight downside , a lot of tourists in reception taking photos. Only to be expected the Christmas decorations were outstanding ....

5th Nov 16. A family party of 8 of us went to the dinner event "Live at the Ritz" in celebration of my dads 50th! Lets start with the decor - AMAZING. We were given our own personal waiters who were extremely accommodating to all of our needs (including 2 children). We were shown to our table which was beautifully...

The Ritz does´t fail to deliver. The service is impeccable. The breakfast lovely. The staff personal and very friendly. And the location the best! My weekend at this hotel was the best and partly because of my stay at this gorgeous hotel. For someone who likes the a bit old-fashion luxury this is the obvious choice!

A very special treat post our engagement earlier in the year. Faultless food amazing . Wine choice spot on and not ridiculously pricey. Properly charming and oozes etiquette and a much lovelier prestigious way of life. Amazing treat.

The London Ritz is not to be confused with a Ritz-Carlton. There is nothing wholesale or duplicated about this experience, it is truly an original -- from high tea to the appointment of the rooms to the butlers to every detail about our stay, we felt as though we were transported back in time to a place where service and...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Opened by renowned hotelier Cesar Ritz in 1906, The Ritz today still retains all the glamour and excitement synonymous with this world famous hotel. Perfectly located in a landmark position on Piccadilly in the heart of London's West End, the 136 room luxury hotel is ideally placed to suit both business and leisure visitors alike. Now totaling 111 bedrooms and 25 suites, the elegant rooms combine the original Louis XVI style interiors with modern day technology. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful rooms in the world, The Ritz Restaurant features a magnificent frescoed ceiling with west facing windows overlooking the Terrace, the Italian Garden and Green Park beyond. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with a Dinner Dance on Friday and Saturdays. The Palm Court restaurant offers, most famously, daily Afternoon Tea service which has been popular since the hotel first opened. The stylishly updated Rivoli Bar was designed by Tessa Kennedy and features Art Deco styled interiors. Open daily with a bar menu. Private dining facilities at William Kent House, the 18th century mansion house at The Ritz, include an exquisite selection of banquet rooms and suites. Possibly the most elegant and opulent private rooms in London, William Kent House offers the perfect venue for private receptions, weddings, boardroom meetings, lunches, dinners and gala events. The Ritz London is a Grade II star listed building and in 2002 became the first hotel to receive the Royal Warrant from his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for banqueting and catering services. ... more   less
