We were guests at a wedding in the Savoy and were extremely impressed by the entire day. The function rooms were delightful and beautifully prepared, the staff were immaculately disciplined and efficient and the catering very good. Having experienced another wedding at Claridge's a few weeks before I would say the Savoy has a way to go to get to...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Three nights at the Savoy for my 60th. Did I require celebration or commiseration? The Christmas tree was beautiful, making our stay that little bit more special. From check-in to departure, we encountered nothing but helpful, welcoming and friendly employees. House keeping was very good, providing us with extra pillows , preferred tea bags and other items promptly. We dined...

We just spent 4 wonderful nights at The Savoy. Our room overlooked the Thames and that added to the specialness of it all. The staff was fabulous, from the moment our cab pulled up to the entrance we were treated royally. The front desk staff did everything needed to make us feel at home. Room service was excellent and housekeeping...

We stayed at The Savoy for two nights in early February for a brief stop-over in London. It was a really nice stay. The Luxury King room had a fantastic bathroom and comfortable beds. Understandably high quality - although that obvious drives the price tag. Really friendly staff, very easy check in and check out. Gym is actually not too bad for a hotel gym. I find rooms without and iron and ironing board annoying (small I know but grows over time when travelling on business) - but reception had one brought up right...

We wanted to splurge and stay at the Savoy this time while in London, and we were really looking forward to our stay. While both the service (for the most part besides a few issues) and location were great, I can't really recommend this hotel. It seems to just be existing based on its past reputation and its name. The...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
