Travellers' Choice
Within our breathtaking collection of rooms and suites – which are amongst the most spacious in London – we have many with private garden terraces and quiet balconies. All our rooms and suites skillfully combine comfort, stylish design and the latest innovations, to meet the needs of the modern traveller. Marcus Wareing offers Michelin-starred dining at his eponymous restaurant, Marcus, within The Berkeley; the stars come out for award-winning cocktails at the Blue Bar; and fashionistas join us for Pret-a-Portea, our catwalk-inspired afternoon tea served in the beautiful Collins Room. The luxurious Bamford Haybarn Spa provides a calm retreat. The Berkeley is located at the edge of Hyde Park in fashionable Knightsbridge, a short walk from Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Behind the hotel sits the residential area of Belgravia: a charming enclave of Georgian terraces, cobblestone streets, independent shops and traditional pubs, which conveys the feeling of an English village.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room, for the cost, was small and compared not favourably with similar hotels in London. The dinner, for the cost and compared to similar priced hotels in London, was not great. It wasn't bad, but not memorable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff in general were friendly and professional.

The property, most interactions lovely. One woman at check in is terrible. In room dining perfect. Location perfect. Walkable to everything. Has a sense of intimacy because it’s not huge. Genuinely love the hotel. I stayed 3 times in the past 4 months. One woman is terrible. The other components out weigh the unfortunate crossover. Pool and views are charming.

We just had such a lovely week at the Berkeley hotel. It has lots of memories for us as we used to live in abd my parents would stay there. The location is just so perfect since you are right near Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, Kensington, st. James’s parks, Buckingham Palace Road, you can easily walk to Piccadilly circus or really anywhere. The hotel itself is a complete Jewel, with very luxurious right beds. Quiet rooms. We slept so well. Especially notable was the amazing staff. They seem to really recognize you and are so eager in the most subtle way to help make your day better. We just loved having breakfast every morning at the hotel and all the staff at the restaurant was so warm and welcoming. Concierge ms were great and helped us book various reservations. In our room we’d get daily little sweet treats from the pastry shop downstairs which was so welcomed after a day of running around in Jet lag . Enjoy this wonderful hotel.

Prepare to feel right at home at The Berkeley. One of the best hotel experiences you will ever have. The amenities, spacious rooms, hospitality and food are all top! I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend checking out their spa and rooftop pool, it’s heated in the winter months and must be magical during the summer.

I was given a Pret a Porta tea. voucher for 2 people as a birthday gift. My husband and I attended on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by 2 charming young ladies at the reception and we were really looking forward to a special afternoon Our waiter eventually came to the table and asked us what we were having. We explained the situation and said that our voucher was at reception. Some time later he returned and removed our champagne glasses. We questioned his actions and he told us that it was tea without champagne. My husband was not happy and went to check and in fact champagne was included in our voucher We were then served by a different waiter for the rest of the afternoon It was obvious that this attitude spoiled our whole celebration We were very surprised that the 2 suited men who were obviously in charge made no effort to apologise for the mistake. They just stood stony faced all afternoon This really is not worth the £93 a head!

It is not a Hotel but a real estate management company, no Hospitality to speek off! The service at Marcus was a Faulty Towers act, the Food average , certainly not a 1 star Michelin and the seatings and surroundings were draughty and uncomfortable

Everything about the hotel is great. The cost is a little steep but I guess it’s one of those places, you get what you pay for. I was there on business and hsve stayed with the family too. The hotel has everything but with the dollar versus the pound, it has gotten more expensive than a year or two ago.

Having stayed many times at The Berkeley this was another faultless stay. It was made even better by the fact we had some amazing weather during the stay which meant we could use the now fully opened rooftop pool, which in this weather is about as good as it gets! In the evening we also got chance to experience the pop up bar which was done so well, with great snacks and wine while watching the sunset over west London and Hyde Park. If it wasnt for the landmarks you would think you were somewhere in Europe, rather than central London, it is fantastic. The room itself was stunning, the finish superb, breakfast in The Collins Room was faultless as always, still my favourite in London. I could keep going, but to sum up, The Berkeley is a true gem of London and just keeps getting better. It is made this was partly because it is so well looked after but primarily because of the amazing staff who are always so welcoming and friendly but efficient at the same time. Thank you to you all!
