One Aldwych is currently closed for an extensive refurbishment to create a truly inspiring new guest experience. The hotel will be re-opening and available for reservations in spring 2019. One Aldwych is an award-winning contemporary luxury hotel with a superb location in Covent Garden. Set in the heart of Theatreland, just moments away from the world-famous Royal Opera House and many of London's top attractions, this five-star hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the capital. Each of One Aldywch's 105 bedrooms and suites has been individually designed to provide the utmost in comfort and feature original works of art from the hotel's private collection. Guests are welcome to use The Health Club's stunning chlorine-free pool with underwater music and state-of-the-art gym during their stay. Indigo restaurant is popular with guests and locals alike and ideal for pre and post theatre suppers. Showcasing innovative and thoughtful food, courtesy of Executive Chef Dominic Teague, the Indigo menu incorporates the finest seasonal ingredients carefully sourced from the British Isles, and also happens to be entirely gluten and dairy-free. The Lobby Bar's inventive cocktails and afternoon tea inspired by Charlie & the Chocolate Factory are just some of the many other reasons that make a stay at One Aldywch so memorable.

Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.

The hotel was exactly like photos on its site. The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable, from the doormen to front desk/concierge to the restaurants to housekeeping. They focused on us solely when answering our questions or giving us advice re: the hotel, the neighborhood,

There is an abundance of taxis that pull up to One Aldwych because it is extremely well positioned near all theatres and Waterloo Bridge and The Strand. The Pool is not supervised although I would guess there is CCTV and the spa staff are just n the other side of the entrance. I would consider the hotel highly suitable for elderly as there is so much assistance readily available.
