Our stay at the Covent Garden Hotel was our fourth Holiday visit, and we stay art the hotel between seven-ten nights per visit. Seven Dials is a delightful walking neighborhood, convenient to West End theatres, enjoyable restaurants, Covent Garden area shopping, and plenty of Holiday street entertainment. Covent Garden Hotel is one of our favorites. It is a designer's dream...

Part of the Firmdale properties, the Covent Garden is located on a quiet street, lined with boutique shops, steps from Seven Dials (rooms facing Shaftesbury can be loud though the two sets of windows help - unless, of course, they are open.) This section of London is a walkable area chock-a-block with shops and theaters and a very short walk...

We have stayed at this hotel several times now - we use it to see a show and stop over, entertaining our adult offspring from their outer London abodes to have a night and day in the Seven Dials area. 24 hours of decadence, often between Christmas and the New Year. We have always been pleased on previous visits but...

I travel a lot for work in big groups. We rented out about 60% of the hotel for a project during the London Marathon. I have to say I couldn't have done it without the amazing staff who constantly helped me update the amount of rooms and the people staying in them. They went above and beyond to make sure...

This was our third stay at a Kit Kemp Hotel, having stayed at the Crosby St Hotel in NYC and The Soho Hotel in London on several previous occasions. We weren't disappointed. We just just one night on Boxing day night and were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a delightful suite, predictably decorated in a typically unpredictable Kit...

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Covent Garden. The staff are welcoming, professional and extremely helpful. The rooms are all individually designed and couldn't be more comfortable! Marble bathrooms, plush fabrics and attention to detail. A buzzing bar with plenty of atmosphere, fresh imaginative food, we can't wait for our next stay.

Back in London for a long weekend as a non-resident and this turned out to be an inspired choice. The ceiling height in the slightly more luxurious rooms overlooking Monmouth Street was fantastic, offering a feel almost of an Amsterdam canal side room. Neal's Yard has upped its game and Covent Garden is just a great base for exploring central...

Stayed in 2 rooms over 6 nights between Christmas and New Years. The hotel is a quant hotel situated in the 7 Dials section of Covent Gardens. The rooms are a good size comfortable and well appointed. Light fixtures take some getting used to as does the HVAC. We stayed on the ground floor which can be somewhat noisy but...

Covent Garden is still an excellent hotel and very well situated indeed. Interior design is not as amazing as in some other Firmdale hotels, like Ham Yard in Soho, but still very cozy and "brittish with a twist"-like. Especially in the guest only areas. Service is fine, but the hotel may be victim of it's own success, we did feel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
