Booked this hotel for a theatre break and because of the location to the theatre, which was a 10 minute walk away. In fact, this hotel is in a fantastic location for lots of what London has to offer. We walked to Covent Garden and Oxford street in 15 to 20 minutes too. The other bonus for us was the...

We have just returned from staying at this hotel. Must say it's a great place for a short stay. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and considering we were located in a room facing Russell Square on the main road, it was very quiet. Of the evening we chose to eat in the hotel restaurant....

Exactly what you want when visiting London. Reasonable rates, tidy rooms and decent food in the restaurant. Friendly staff were helpful. Rooms were on the small side but were perfectly adequate with en-suite. Breakfast in the morning was full English, help yourself. The carvery we had in the evening was delicious and served at 5.50pm as we needed to be...

I seemed destined to stay at all of the hotels in London’s Bloomsbury area for some reason. The newest addition to my collection is the President, which is right by Russell Square tube station on the Piccadilly line. Simply walk out of the station, turn left, walk to the corner, turn left again and you can see the hotel at...

If you care at all about your hotel experience, don't stay here. You are welcomed into the lobby with the stench of food that smacks you in the nostrils. As you check in, that same stench is becoming one with your clothing so beware. The overall design and atmosphere feels like not one staff member cares whether the building closes...

One night business stay at short notice. Comfortable, clean albeit small room. Check in and out was efficient. I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast offered a wide choice and was to an acceptable standard.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here, from the outside the building looks a little dated but on the inside you have everything you would need for a stay in London. The location is great for St Pancras and Kings Cross, as well as being around the corner from Russell Square tube. Inside the hotel is great, there is...

Good location, just 100m walk from Russell square station. Staff members are nice and helpfull. The hotel is clean. Facilities in the hotel are very old, mainly in the rooms. Shower unconfortable, shower heads are fixed at the top and hot and cold water hard to adjust either in the shower and sink. Windows are very old so Air comes...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
