The hotel's location is excellent for exploring the city. Very close to Gloucester station and located in one of the finest areas of London. The service was very kind and helpful. The room was a bit small and there was a lot of noise during the night. But the showers, toilet and rooms were very clean. Would definitely go back...

The location of the hotel was great, a short walk to tube stations aor to the Natural History Museum and V&A. Staff were very friendly at check-in. Our room was on the top floor, which meant a lot of stairs. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. Some parts of the staircase...

My wife and I were staying one night in London and location was more important than anything along with a cheap stay as we were literally only planning on sleeping in the room and nothing else! This hotel ensured all those needs were met. The staff were pleasant throughout and willing to hold luggage before and after check in/out. Our...

We booked this hotel to be close to Royal Albert Hall for the festival of Remembrance and the price we paid for a double room was on par with others giving us no indication what we were going to. On arrival reception is in the basement, the whole place could do with a good luck of paint and a better...

Stayed here for one night to attend the Royal British Legion festival of remembrance at the Royal Albert hall. Its proximity to the venue and Gloucester Road tube are a plus however there are nicer hotels in the area. The room was functional and clean but in places could do with a bit of maintenance. No TV no Fridge no...

Awesome neighborhood. Very quiet, safe and clean. The tube station of Glouchester road is just 4 min by walk. There's a mini market here and a burgerking working untill 3 am. The building of the hotel is old but all the common toilets and bathrooms are new (renovated) and always very clean. There's a kitchen when you have the breakfast...

Stayed in the 4 bed female share room. Not a bad experience overall. Great location to both Earls Court and Gloucester Rd stations - great for getting to Heathrow. Very nice area - this place seems a little out of place in the area. Its run down.......the beds were old but comfortable. Clean bedding. Shower in room - toilets either...

I stayed here in July 2016. It was the perfect location! Quite at night and short distance to shops and transport. But the rooms were very small and the bed quite hard (at least too hard for my back). The room were clean and tidy- but simple. If you are not very picky about what to choose, and you want...

I like to be constructive, no matter how I wish to review a place. That being said, this was a very awkward situation, to say the least. I was looking for a cheaper priced hotel, but never would have expected something like this in such a nice neighborhood! The room was in such poor condition, it was alarming ( see...

Dirty, tired, mouldy, just really really unpleasant. Worse than any youth hostel I've ever stayed in. Spend a little more and do yourself a favour. The only positive was that the girl on reception was lovely.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
