I don’t usually write hotel reviews, but since this joint doesn’t provide a TV, and the Wi-Fi is terrible, I’m left with little to do but exercise my fingers. So here goes: Curzon House, the review. Straight off the bat, let’s clear up the use of the word ‘hotel’. This place is more hostel than hotel. If you’re looking for...

Pros: Location, price-quality ratio, friendly personal, good Italian restaurant in 250 m walking "Ask Italian". Mid: more or less common breakfast. Contras: Room wasn't ready at our arrive - need 40 mins to wait.

Stayed there for 2 nights with my boyfriend and didn't really enjoy it. The walls were so thin that we could hear everything that was going on outside, especially in the morning, since our room was right next to the dining area. It didn't feel like the room was very private. The bathroom was very old and small. We wanted...

There is nothing specifically wrong with this hotel, we just did not enjoy it as we came from a more comfortable and cheaper hotel. The location of this hotel is good, very central, safe neighborhood, but it had an old style heater (and we visited in winter and needed a lot more heat) and the shower's water was cold (again,...

I booked this hotel/hostel late in the day as there were few hotels left in the area and couldnt be picky, if i am left in the same situation in the future i will drive the 3 hours home, Cheap badly fitted dirty carpet, camp beds like you would see in a hostel, no TV in the rooms, no coffee...

I´ve been in this hotel in a shared room whit 5 bed. I found it strange because it seems that two people live in this room. But the bed was good, clean and a simple breakfast, very friendly administration. But do not know if I will return to this hotel.

It is an old and worn guest house however being well-maintained. The place (specially the carpet) is clean, the staff are very kind. I shared a room which has four beds with private bathroom, it is quite comfortable. The location is great, nearby are higher-ranking hotels, feel very safe.

Firstly, expect a hostel or dorm setting and you'll be fine. It's a place to lay your head not to hang out in the hotel. Clean linens, decently comfortable mattress, sink located in bedroom, as well as a decent size wardrobe are certainly all positives. It's very close to Gloucester Road and Earl's Court Station. Waitrose is around the corner...

After a lot of searching online for an expensive hotel in London, I came across this hotel. I used to live in the area and had seen this hotel on my walks about, and saw that it was well priced. I stayed here with 2 friends, on a Saturday night. We had booked a triple room, which came to just...

We stayed at the Curzon House in the downstairs bedroom complete with en suite. It ticked all the boxes for us, breakfast was basic but substansial. And for the location...Kensington great value for money.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
