Booked three months in advance for a serviced apartment with a small kitchenette area (refrigerator, cooker, sink and microwave). When I got there, we were put in what could only be described as a uni student dorm! In fact, scrub that, students wouldnt even put up with the accommodation on offer! There were 4 single beds, mattresses that would make...

The trip advisor reviews for this place are unfair - its a clean midrnge hostel with nice staff and a good kitchen dining room area. Free wifi, decent breakfast (cereal and toast) and nicer people than you find in the budget places. Good value place on a Friday / Saturday night @ £20 per night

Two things I liked: The staff and the position. The girl was very kind, the first room they gived us was SCARY, downstairs. It was near the TV room, it was still untidy, dark and stinky. She immediately called the girl to clean up the room, but I didn't see her with a vacuum cleaner (!!)... So I get alarmed...

The Curzon House Hotel is an option for adventurous back packers who are not intimidated by sleeping in a dorm setting. The house/hostel/hotel had tons of potential and period features, but the filthy carpets, leaky, grubby bathroom and the fact I had to spend the night in a room with 8 other strangers in single beds made this one of...

This hostel was simply a great choice. The location is perfect, neighbourhood quiet and beautiful, close to shops and the tube. Our room was spacious enough, CLEAN, the beds were comfortable. Breakfasts were okey - toasts and cereals. I think that anyone who is not exactly used to staying in Ritz :-) will enjoy his stay!

The worst place I`ve ever been to, except 2$ hotels in India... Sickening bathrooms, dirty and rundown....during my 3-nights stay always something was missing there....light or hot water or toilet paper.... All of the bad opinion about this place written previously are true. I will upload few pictures of this place..

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
