What a wonderful find, we will most certainly be back.

I love the Hilton brand we have been diamond members for around 8 years now and are usually impressed with each branch. However we have never experienced the Curio before and it did not disappoint. The hotel is immaculate and absolutely beautiful, stunning spaces to work, socialise and train, exquisite rooms and as always extreme sleep comfort.

Great in room coffee and tea options, wine glasses, a fridge, a steamer so clothes were perfect to go any explore the city, the dressing table in front of natural light, everything is perfectly thought out to have you looking and feeling your best.

On top of all that attention to detail the staff make this hotel another level! The gentleman at reception was wonderful, I arrived early and needed to work from the social space, this was no issue at all and he even put a rush on our room so we were in by around mid day. I asked for a champagne bucket, glasses and ice and was more than willing to wait for it, but no he insisted it would be brought to our room and even delivered it himself.

Housekeeping come later in the day so no early morning knocks at the door and the rooms are kept wonderfully clean and turned out.

Breakfast is delightful, wonderful choices of fresh fruits, yogurts, pastries, cheeses plus your traditional cooked breakfasts. I asked for champagne flutes for my friends Birthday morning which the team were more than happy to organise.

It was a perfect weekend in London for my friends Birthday, the hotel was my treat and it really did feel like a special place to stay. Thank you Curio I will most certainly be back.

This hotel has such an awesome atmosphere. The staff are excellent - we’ve stayed here 3 times now and it’s been the same every time.
Decor is fabulous and so decadent. We have family who lives in Shoreditch and it is a great place to stay when we are in London.
For a huge chain like Hilton, this hotel feels like an independent residence. It’s brilliant here and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel was very inviting, the hotel had an amazing aroma. As soon as you walk in to the hotel you smell it. You also smell it throughout the halls of the establishment. All of the staff were very inviting, friendly and never rude! The breakfast was really good as well and the selections are plentiful. The staff remembered the special request I made the day before at breakfast and asked me if I wanted the same thing the next day. My mother in law is diabetic and they remembered to make her veggie sausages since she can’t have the pork, this happened without us having to request it. Tamara, the young lady from Colombia and the 3 young men serving breakfast were extremely kind to us. The room service and cleaning service were superb. We had Julia and she was very thorough when cleaning our room. The new towels smelled like freshly baked cake. I’m not sure how they did that but my mind was blown at how great our experience was. Poppie (Guest Experience Manager), even sent us on our way with some delicious cookies before we took our flight back to Germany. All in all this establishment had upscale class, courtesy and service. My family snd I will definitely be utilizing Hart Shoreditch Hotel when we come back to London this year!

I booked at short notice and arrived around 10pm having paid an eye watering £345 for my room.

When I opened the door into the room, something seemed odd and it was that the bathroom door was wide open. I ventured a little further into the room to then see one of the beds had been very obviously slept in.

Now that’s a new one for me, especially when it was so late at night. Reception very apologetic but refused to give me another room despite the website showing availability. Instead they set about getting the room cleaned. Not sure how they do that late at night - was a proper job even done?

Eventually got into the room about 11pm (the hotel did offer me a couple of beers in the bar) but then found the room had a connecting door and essentially no sound proofing. Had to listen to my neighbours jabbering away (I guess they then had to put up with my snoring too but that’s not the point).

If a hotel is charging north of £300 a night I only think it’s fair that they pay sufficient attention to detail so rooms are ready for guests, especially late at night. And if they insist on connecting doors, make sure they are properly sound proofed, too.

Breakfast was also notable insofar as they seemed to have decided not to serve pork products. It was turkey bacon and the sausages whilst labelled as Cumberland looked utterly washed out - presumably chicken? This is in London, not Islamabad.

Needless to say, I won’t be rushing back.

Dear swisstony123, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences you experienced and appreciate your patience and understanding during what was clearly not how we do things here. Regarding your room, I deeply regret that you found it in an unready state upon your arrival. This was due to a system issue that caused the room to be missed in our cleaning schedule. This was definitely an error, and not the standards which we provide here, as you can see from our other reviews, most guests always mark us highly on cleanliness. Just to note that our Night Manager was indeed apologetic and offered you complimentary drinks while you waited for the room to be cleaned. Unfortunately, as the hotel was fully booked, we were unable to offer you an alternative room. Concerning the connecting door, as a family-friendly hotel, a few of our rooms do contain connecting doors. I apologise for any inconvenience this caused. Should this be an issue in the future, please let us know, and we can allocate a room without connecting doors in advance of your arrival to ensure your comfort. Lastly, our breakfast buffet is designed to cater to the diverse preferences of all our guests. Whilst we appreciate your feedback, just to note Pork options are also available on the buffet, and should you not find them, our restaurant staff are happy to assist should you ask them, and the kitchen can even provide some additional items upon request if they are not found on the buffet. Should you reconsider staying with us in the future, please contact me directly at Matt.Green@hilton.com, and I will personally oversee your next reservation to ensure a seamless and pleasant experience. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. Warm regards, Matt Front Office Manager

What's not readily disclosed by the hotel is that a good portion of their rooms directly front a raging nightclub across a narrow street that renders those rooms unusable whenever the club is pumping, whether on regular hours or during a special event. The street exposure to avoid here is Leonard Street.

I was mortified at how loud the music from the club was inside my room!
Earplugs didn't help because they can't attenuate powerful deep bass sound waves. I could see my windows vibrating!

Worse still, staff and management at Hart were generally insouciant and condescending about the noise from the club.

They even attempted to gaslight me along the lines of "well, this is Shoreditch, you know", implying that I was to blame for not knowing about the club, even though they alone control the room assignment locations.

Furthermore, after I begged to move to another location away from Leonard Street, the new room was indeed very quiet.

So, the hotel seems to know they have a defective product in their rooms on Leonard Street Thursday-Saturday, but assign those rooms anyway and then gaslight and blame guests who are injured by Hart's actions.

The noise on Leonard Street is above and beyond "well, it's a party area" defense.
Directly fronting a nightclub across a narrow street on active event or regular busy nights warrants disclosure to travelers in advance.

On Thursdays, the music starts banging around 11pm and doesn't let up until 1:00 a.m., with noisy crowds dispersing into the street following. If you have morning meetings on Friday, forget about it. You'll be cooked with fatigue.

On Friday and Saturday nights, there are crowd control barriers set up out front & the music starts banging around midnight and doesn't relent until 3:00 a.m., after which again everyone pours out into the street below your window.

A fair amount of club patrons hang around smoking and whatnot out front and go in and out of the club, which causes even more noise to enter your room as a club doors open and close frequently. The club and their patrons aren't to blame for this-- they're just going about their normal course of business and having fun.

But, the hotel has a duty to warn travelers who are not aware of the direct nightclub frontage and they don't do so.

Maybe because Hart owners don't want to lose room revenue on their Leonard Street facing rooms, which make up a significant percentage of the hotel?

Even if you are in town to party, you better be planning on a 4:00 a.m. or so Fri, Sat night and 2am or so on a Thursday if your room fronts Leonard Street.

I hope this review saves another trusting, unsuspecting traveler from a similar unsavoury experience.

Or, if you are seeking this type of experience, then you should specifically request a room that fronts Leonard Street, which the hotel will likely be thrilled to accommodate.

Dear Teekay, I would like to thank you for taking the time on sharing with us your recent experience at Hart Shoreditch Hotel. I was sad to read that your stay was not as expected due to having your sleep disturbed from the street noise coming from the Night Club opposite to us. Rest assured we have shared your feedback to the relevant people from our hotel and the night club so they could look into further actions to mitigate the noise and similar disappointing experience. Moreover I strongly believe our Guest Relations Manager followed up on your complaint and assisted you providing a different room location to help you with your sleep on the second night. Unfortunately, it could be times those unforeseen circumstances get out of our control such as street noise during weekends in central London. Nevertheless, we thrive to provide an excellent service and unique experience with us. We would love to have the opportunity to turn the clock on your perception on us and if you decide to visit us in the near future, please allow me to be your first point of contact. I will look after you prior , during and after your stay and make sure your get to experience fully your stay at Hart Shoreditch Hotel. I look forward to welcoming you back soon. Absolutely loved the Hart Shoreditch! The staff here is amazing! Poppie at the front desk reached out to me prior to my stay to ensure that we were able to get connecting rooms so that the whole family could be together. My daughter celebrated her birthday during our trip, and not only did they arrange for a cake to be sent to the room that day, they also left both my kids some goodies when we checked in along with a bottle of wine for my husband and I. As Diamond members, we took advantage of the continental breakfast every morning. They were very accommodating and helped us prepare the foods and drinks to bring with us since we left very early several mornings for tours and activities. The location was conveniently close to a ton of restaurants within walking distance and several tubes to get anywhere you needed. The rooms were very spacious and clean. All in all, it was a great stay and the staff went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for us! Thank you!!!

Staying at this hotel truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms are impeccably clean and spacious, and the facilities are top-notch. The shower is particularly wonderful, providing a refreshing start to each day. This was our second time staying here, and we will definitely be coming back.

What sets this hotel apart is the personal touch, especially from Poppie, the Guest Experience Manager. Poppie goes above and beyond to make our stays special, leaving thoughtful notes, chocolate or wine when we're celebrating. Her attention to detail makes us feel like the only guests in the hotel. We are so grateful for her kindness and hospitality. It was another memorable stay!

Stayed one night for a birthday party nearby.
Fortunately it was a Sat night stay so on-street parking was free (after lunch-time on Sat), otherwise it would have been over £50 for the Broadgate (secure underground car park)
It feels like the hotel is quite new and hip
Check in and out was efficient and friendly.
Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with deep windows, giving quite far ranging views. There was a coffee pod machine, kettle and tea/coffee etc.
Toiletries were provided and were lovely. The bathroom had a very spacious shower cubicle. It also had a deep roll top bath tub, which looked amazing, but unfortunately we did not have time to use this.
Breakfast was good, with a decent selection of hot and cold food options suitable for most tastes.
Highly recommend for anyone needing a hotel in Shoreditch.

I spent a week here for work. The location was good for restaurants and I could get to the tube in about 10 mins walk and the overground about 5 mins. The WiFi was great and sheets were very soft. I ubered both ways from Heathrow and it took 90 mins both times even in non-peak traffic. I arrived before my room was ready but they texted me once they had to set to go.

Breakfast was good especially the coffee. The team working breakfast was nice. The front desk crew was also good when I needed to chat when them. As a woman traveling on her own, I felt safe there.

One small thing - I found it odd there wasn’t on outlet for a hair dryer in the bathroom but there is a mirror on the desk.

Hart Shoreditch is one of the cutest boutique hotel we have stayed in. The rooms are a little tight but more than made up by the friendly staff . The tariff is just right for a business trip which can be extended by a few days either ways or combined with a weekend for personal stay over.

If you have work in the vicinity, the location provides the best of a business district with plenty of dining option and recreational walks in the neighbouring hipster art district. Brick Lane is close by if you are inclined to any foodie adventure.
