This was part of a package that we had purchased for our honeymoon and it certainly did not disappoint. The staff was wonderful - giving us pinpoint accuracy directions and advice on restaurants and more. Small boutique property but close to many attractions and tube stations. Our room was adorable, overlooking a small garden courtyard and we felt very special... More

This is a really lovely hotel & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is only a couple of minutes walk from Russell Square tube stop & the British Museum is right around the corner. All of the staff were friendly, the room was beautifully appointed & the buffet breakfast amazing! We would happily stay here again. The only reason... More

Has a really great country house hotel feel - rooms are small (it's London) but excellent service - a drawing room for afternoon teas and just minutes from the British Museum and Tubes. Boris bikes very close too.

This was our first visit to London and I couldn't be more pleased with both the location and the staff. The British Museum is right next door and it's only a short walk to the Covent Garden area or the theaters. The Underground (Piccadilly Line) and hop-on-hop off bus stop are a few short blocks away as well. We found... More

The hotel is 7 minutes walk away from Holburn metro station. The trip from Heathrow airport by train costs 6 pounds and lasts about one hour via Piccadilly line. There are plenty of restaurants close by. Oxford street is at 10-15 minutes walk. Breakfast is very good. Location is wonderful. Staff are great, very friendly and professional. The room was... We stay here from time to time - and we really love it. It is a boutique hotel in the heart of Bloomsbury - close to lots of attractions in London. The smallest rooms are a little snug, but if we are just staying for a night or two or have just small luggage they are perfectly adequate. We request... More

First trip to London. Selected the Montague largely based on reviews like this one. A boutique but not tiny hotel. We stayed 5 nights and loved each one. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. One hears about 'stuffy' - we received warm hospitality. Wonderful breakfast. We live in WA state and did some prep... More

The staff and hotel is impeccable! Concierge Jorge Alvarez made our trip amazing, coordinating tickets, restaurants, making suggestions for day trips. Patric, Mark and Tioshi, all were so wonderful assisting us with all of our needs! Every employee treated us as if we were the only guest! We looked forward to returning every evening and relaxing in the terrace and... More

This was my second visit to the Montague and it was as charming and beautiful as my first but the service was even better! I had a wonderful 4 days at the Montague in November. I had a room with a king size bed which was not huge, but well appointed. The staff, especially the concierge and bar staff, were kind and helpful in every way. The location is good; right across the street from the British Museum. The staff will gladly book shows,... Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
