Where to start.... broken door frames, holes in walls (one covered with an A4 page and tape.. the A4 page was a previous guest's bill), mould, the smell (and not a good one), two broken elevators, miserable and run down 'lobby' area, broken TV in the room, very annoying bathroom sensor light, the extremely rude waitress at breakfast, the fact...

After reading some bad reviews my sister and I were quite happy with our one night stay.It was very well situated for all we wanted to do. Front desk very polite room basic but clean. Seem to be replacing door surrounds. Quiet location and had a good nights sleep. For what we paid we were happy.

This Review is based on what the Cheshire Hotel desired to provide us with, initially. Our weekend stay at the Cheshire Hotel was not pleasant. I was responsible for the booking of three rooms for two nights (7 people). Upon arrival at the hotel our attention was immediately drawn to the damaged sign over the hotel door. The small entrance...

Given the accommodations the value for money was not great. Also, my room was in the 4th floor and the elevator was not working, which was unfortunate. Friendly staff though, and the location is very good.

I stayed here for 5 nights when I was over in London on a work trip. After reading the reviews I was very worried the hotel would be horrendous but it wasn't as bad as I imagined! It is very basic and run down, paint coming off the walls etc however it was clean and the staff were friendly. The...

I waited a week to write this review because I felt I needed time to get over all that went wrong...but I am still feeling the same. First of all, two elevators both non-working. Really? So they put us on the 5th floor, the top level, farthest room down the hall. Imagine trying to lug up your bags 5 flights...

On arrival the manager was extremely rude - if it wasn't New Year's Eve we would have walked at that point. hotel should not be in operation - decor is terrible - lifts broken - seriously the whole set up was an absolute disgrace. Hotel should be closed down on the grounds of health and safety and hygiene.

Avoid this hotel. Holes in ceiling, no working TV, terrible noise, dreadful customer service. We had booked a double room and only got a semi double room meant for one person not a couple. Double bed was next to wall so could only be accessed by one side and there was only one cup and glass. Tiny room which wasn't...

Room was small but comfortable. On 5th floor but the lift was not working. The staircase is also in a bad state of repair so wouldn't fancy doing this with luggage. Make receptionist was especially miserable and entirely unsuited to work like this.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
