Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

I had stayed at this hotel over Christmas 2018 while on a tour with Rick Steve's Europe tours and had a wonderful stay. I decided to stay again on my recent visit in September 2019 with two of my friends. The location is incredible! You can walk right out and across the street to Buckingham Palace. However this time the service and standards were greatly lacking. My friends switched rooms because the other was dirty and broken. The TVs in the room worked on and off throughout the stay. Kept having to call someone up to fix. Two of the days the TV didn't work at all. When checking out they did little to compensate for this huge inconvenience which left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won't ever return.

To be honest i was a little disappointed. The Room didn't live up to style and appearance of the entry. Reception was excellent and staff very polite and efficient.t Key entry to the room was novel and much better than a swipe card. The room itself was small . There was tea making facilities but know biscuits. I was surprised to find no iron or ironing board in the room. However one was brought to the room when requested. Shower and bathroom ok but it took a long time for the water to run hot. Breakfast was very good but at £24.00 i felt the price a little toppy. I may be judging the hotel unfairly as it is situated in the Park Lane area which is expensive. You can get similar quality at a lower price if you are prepared to be more flexible on location.

Afternoon tea very poor. Was shown to our table this was not in a restaurant it felt like we were in a waiting area in the lobby. Sandwiches poor quality, cakes also poor quality. Scones were shop bought not homemade was not offered refills for tea and coffee felt rushed like they didn’t want us there. Ours was a virgin experience voucher so maybe that was why service and tea was so poor

We went yesterday as a quick night away, it was a nice hotel we were upgraded which was nice and the staff were friendly enough. We went to the bar before heading out, were sat at a table with a sign saying "a charge of £25 is given for the use of this table" luckily we weren't charged as the table was marked, the sofas were unclean and stained and we didnt ask for the table. I asked for a rosè prosecco and got wine instead, nice enough but wasn't what I ordered. We returned in the evening and went to bed pre ordering breakfast for our room. Breakfast was charged at £22 a head, luckily ours was included. It was worse than basic, the poached eggs were hard the bacon was dry and hard, the sausages were dry; the mushrooms were greasy... the bread was a brown crust less piece of toast in the middle of the plate, the whole breakfast was dry and with no offering of beans or condiments, some of it was inedible. The drinks are overpriced for the quality although the barman in the night (around 10.30pm) was lovely and had great customer service skills. Nice hotel room, skip the breakfast though!

Location of the hotel is good but the rooms are small and the furniture is old. Beds are noisy. During my stay at about three oclock a women started to yell and cry. Bumbing the doors, running in the room. It lasted more than three hours and I had to work next day. They should be careful of the people they book the room. It ıs a quite costly hotel. You pay a lot of money and you can’t sleep because of the noise. It ıs not acceptable.

What is least expensive way to get to this hotel from St. Pancras train station?
If you are willing to take 1 bus and do a bit of walking, it will cost £1.50 using an oyster card or your contactless debit or credit card. However, as cheap as it would be, this does mean the travel time will be much longer than if you were to take a train. Hope this helps
