My wife and I have celebrated our 10 year anniversary yesterday on New Year’s Eve.
We wanted to organize something special and we booked to spend the night at the Sheraton Park Lane hotel in London.
We have looked at the website and it was...More
The staff were friendly, and welcoming. I thought I had lost my passport, and they were extremely helpful by calling the US Embassy to help. The concierge staff were truly a delight to deal with. The Sheraton is in a prime location with a quick...More
Attended an event which was very well put on in an excellent location. Food was very nice, which can be difficult in mass catering situations. Staff all friendly and the ballroom surroundings a great place for an event.
Wonderful hotel in the Mayfair section of London. Older hotel, but nicely appointed room and fun neighborhood. Can't wait to return. Comfortable beds, huge bathroom with wonderful extra long British tub and separate shower!
I usually stay at a different property in London, but I wanted to try something different. This Starwood property is very conveniently located along Picadilly, within short walking distance Green Park tube station. I had made a few inquiries by email prior to my booking,...More
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even
if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

from sheraton grand, covent garden is (in my experience) perhaps 20 mins walk... circa 1 mile BUT from green park tube station (very close to sheraton) it is 3 stops on the piccadilly line to covent garden... very fast. there are 2 SPG properties closer, as noted above, the W leicester sq. and just to the west of that is the meridien piccadilly (right on the circus). never stayed at W (it’s very congested in leicester sq) but the meridien is a lovely old stately hotel where i have been UG’d to the same fabulous suite 4 times... they are generous to platinum SPG members. on my last visit (dec-jan 2018) i stayed at meridien for a week, then sheraton for 11 days. i was so very impressed by the sheraton.. it is now really beautiful, everything works... staff are xlnt. and the club lounge is terrific. even with 9 nights at plays (mostly in west end... but some in other areas) i found the location of sheraton to be perfect. so much to walk to... and so easy to use the tube when walking is not practical.
