The Phoenix Hotel garners appreciation for its serene ambiance, despite occasional noise disruptions noted by some guests. The staff's exemplary service is often highlighted, earning plaudits for their hospitality. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, a few guests have remarked on their compactness and lack of air conditioning.
The hotel's atmosphere is considered inviting and cozy, and its amenities, including a convenient location and breakfast offerings, are well-regarded, though there's a call for greater variety in the cooked breakfast options. Travelers frequently commend the hotel for its cleanliness and strategic location, which affords easy access to public transport and local attractions. Overall, the Phoenix Hotel is seen as providing good value for its location and services.

Detailed Reviews
When I visit London I always try to get this hotel, I have been many times over the years and I find it incredible value for money, it has a great location serviced by two tube stations Bayswater on the circle line and Queensway on the central, you are in the west end within 15 minutes, the hotel is in a nice quiet square and if you want restaurants bar sets the main Queensway area is a 5 minute stroll. If you like to come in at night the hotel has a nice little bar where you can have a nightcap without paying ridiculous prices. They do a great breakfast menu where you can choose almost anything.i have read some reviews that the rooms are quite small, I have to say that anywhere you stay in London for under£150 pounds a night the rooms are not big, this hotel has more than reasonable rooms that are perfect for a couple, the staff are really helpful and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable and in the unlikely event that you have any issues , Mary and her staff in the office will do Their best to fix it .to conclude my review, if you want a hotel that is great location , lovely breakfast, very reasonable , and pleasant ,helpful staff this is for you. if you want a huge room ,want to pay £150-£180 pounds a night plus £15 for breakfast and people who aren't interested in you ,head for one of the five star hotels that will gladly take your money

I stayed here for 3 nights between march 6 to march 9 in room 121 and it was simply incredible. The staff was nice and friendly. My room was ready when I came to the hotel. It was a very nice looking room with good pillows and a good blanket. There was enough room for just me.
It was an ordinary continental breakfast but many people just took the food with their hands. Maybe the staff in the restaurant could make sure that people used the equipment or at least used some hand sanitizer beforehand.
Other than that the hotel and room was very good. I had a room towards the street and there wasn't a lot of noise. The bathroom was good and the water was hot.
It's easy to get to the city. I tried to take the bus more than the underground and it was quite easy. With the underground nearby it was easy to get from Piccadilly Circus to the hotel.
I had an amazing trip at an incredible hotel.
I'm already planning my next trip to London and I will stay at this hotel again and hopefully in room 121 again. Hopefully it can be arranged!

My friend and I had to make a last minute change to hotel and had to look for a good deal.
We came to a very good looking room, queensize bed, comfy, even after several hours travel to get there and waiting around in airports. Neither I nor she are small in size so we had been worried to share a bed, but it wasn't an issue at all. We slept comfy all 4 nights 💖😴
The bathroom isn't the biggest but we still had enough room. Especially considering as mentioned we aren't small in size.
The kettle and tea/coffee was nicely placed away in a cupboard at the desk on a pull out flat tray so it wouldn't take up space just for the sake of it.
Breakfast was really great, the tables were nicely spaced out. We both struggle with being sensitive to noice and had no issues in the breakfast area, nor in the room.
USB sockets was a total bonus, too at the desk, and on the left side of bed too.
Overall we were very happy with our stay.

I recently stayed for a few days at the Phoenix Hotel and wish to share positive feedback for travelers’ reference.
Hotel location is great for business and leisure travelers. It combines a quiet residential area with easy options for commute, along with nearby cafeterias, shops, and restaurants.
Phoenix Hotel provides a family atmosphere and highly professional, friendly, and ready to support reception team. I would recommend a standard double room for a singular traveler. The hotel has a small meeting room to facilitate small business meetings. The breakfast included in the overall cost is limited, though there are various options for additional orders.
I do recommend the Phoenix Hotel for private and business travelers.

My uncle having stayed a few times in this hotel recommended it to me for location, proximity to the tube for sporting events/concerts, cleanliness of rooms and overall great value particularly relative to other accommodation locally.
I was much looking forward to a stay in the Phoenix Hotel for a concert but unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute due to my husband being ill and advised not to fly. The hotel was most understanding and accommodating of our late cancellation and it eased a great burden where other hotels could have greatly penalised us. We look forward to staying later in the year and would highly recommend the Phoenix for their levels of customer care and the great Bayswater location. We noted also the hotel has an earlier check in time than other UK hotels we have stayed in this year which makes it more convenient if you have early evening plans.

I have been a regular customer of the Phoenix Hotel for the last 20 years or so.
I go every January to London with the excuse of the Harrods Sale though you never need a reason to visit London. Actually, my main interest is going to the Theatre.
Because of the Covid pandemic I had to cancel my January trips in 2021 and 2022 but couldn't wait and went last September. And of course I have already my booking for January 2023 :-)
Hadn’t I discovered the Phoenix Hotel this long time ago I don’t think I would have been able to go so often. Hotels in London are very expensive and the relation quality-price is very bad indeed.
After trying many different hotels I found this gem which actually has been getting better every year.
I always find good rates, booking in advance of course, and even the most flexible tariffs are very good indeed.
The Phoenix is located in an ideal place, with two tube stations in a 5 minute radius. The lines served at Bayswater and Queensway are very convenient to reach the West End as well as train stations to go to and from the airports. The neighbourhood is really nice, with two fabulous pubs just 2-3 min away, plenty of restaurants and convenience shops.
The rooms are very nice and comfortable, small but not that much compared to London standards. There are plugs in logical places, which is really good indeed these days when we all travel with many electronic devices.
What I like most about the Phoenix is the tranquility. The rooms are very well soundproof. I have never ever heard conversations or noises from adjacent rooms.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Like in most hotels they change but reception always works extremely well. They don’t bother with never ending questions when checking in and everything is nice and easy.
Continental breakfast is more than in enough for a day in a big city and there’s the choice of cooked breakfast as well.
In conclusion, I call the Phoenix home when I think about London!

Stayed at this property for four nights on a recent trip to London. Was provided with a queen room facing I believe the back of the property. The room was bright, well decorated, very clean but small which was our expectation coming to London, the bathroom was particularly small with a shower stall. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and welcoming and the front desk was helpful with hiring a taxi. The daily breakfast was well presented, had a variety of hot/ cold items and staff offered fresh coffee and tea. The dining room was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is fabulous, close to a variety of pubs, shops, restaurants and the Bayswater tube station. I would recommend this hotel to others mainly for its location and value based upon the price we paid. There was also a small lounge open in the evening which was a nice spot to have a drink after a busy day touring.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Phoenix Hotel. I was originally in London for work, and I decided to extend my stay last minute for personal travel around the city. I was able to book this hotel last-minute for a great price--much more reasonable than most other hotels in the area. The hotel room was small but comfortable and clean. Housekeeping attended to my room everyday. The hotel was in a great location! Very easy to walk around and access tube stations. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The complementary continental breakfast that was included in the rate was sufficient. Overall, I definitely recommend staying in this hotel, and I would stay here again next time I'm in London!
The negatives: There's only one elevator, and it's quite slow. However, there's only 4 floors total so it's easy to walk up and down the stairs, aside from when you're transporting luggage. Strangely, the fire alarm went off briefly TWICE during my stay. This has never happened to me at a hotel before in all of my travels. I assume this may have been caused by the toaster in the kitchen, since I noticed rolls and croissants kept getting stuck in there during breakfast time. Then the staff would have to open the windows and remove these breads (maybe time for a new toaster). Lastly, I found my room to be very hot, even though it was cold outside. I didn't have the heater on. By opening the windows and using a provided fan, I was able to sleep comfortably enough. It was a little noisy with the windows open, but not too bad regularly.

Check-in was horrible. The young woman who tried to check me in wanted to confirm whether I was at the correct hotel. I am not sure she actually understood English (she was definitely not a native English speaker) She then could not find my booking (not able to find my surname). I was then not provided information regarding where breakfast would be served. I went down to breakfast the next morning and the wait staff did not even offer me tea or coffee. The wait staff did not even greet me or acknowledge me. This was disgusting as I had stayed at this hotel two weeks ago and the service level had definitely declined to an unacceptable level. The evening was extremely noisy and at midnight, there were people talking loudly near my room. There were no staff members or managers to ensure that the noise level was kept to a minimum.
