Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently stayed at Hotel Byron and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue that marred my stay was the discovery of bed bugs, which led to being bitten multiple times during the night. This situation was distressing enough to wake me up at 1 AM, and it's a clear indicator of a serious pest control problem that needs immediate attention. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was below any acceptable standard. The sheets were not only filthy but also contained hair, suggesting they hadn't been changed or cleaned properly. Stains were visible on both the pillowcases and mattress, contributing to an overall sense of neglect and disregard for basic hygiene practices. Despite the picturesque location and potential of Hotel Byron, my experience was overshadowed by these significant health and safety concerns. I urge the management to address these issues promptly to ensure the comfort and well-being of future guests. Based on my experience, I am unable to recommend staying at Hotel Byron until these serious concerns are resolved.

We had an excellent stay at the Byron Hotel. Room 501 is a dream: not many rooms in London are as quiet as this one is! We woke up hearing nothing but birds. Comfortable beds (bit on the short side though - I’m 1m78 myself) and a decent shower. Enough space to store your belongings. Breakfast is rather modest but perfectly fine. I travelled with a friend and we both had visited London more than once before staying at this hotel. We loved the location, being so close to Kensington Gardens and away from the big crowds. The very touristy things might be a bit further away but the Circle Line takes you anywhere. ;)

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the people working there are so professional and welcoming. The tube lines are in close proximity and Hyde park is footsteps away. We would definitely stay here again. Fantastic breakfast each morning too

Super cosy hotel just across the road from Kensington Gardens. Close to Queensway underground station and Bayswater too. Rooms clean, beds comfy and breakfast just fine. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend The Byron to friend and family.

Located in a great area (but does look a bit run down in places) don’t be put off by this! - especially if you are going to the Royal Albert Hall as we were . It’s an easy walk to Paddington station . Reception staff were super helpful and friendly. Room (308) was very clean and a decent size . My only very slight criticism was that the toilet window had no blind, and although not directly in view of other rooms it made me a bit uneasy using it at night as other bathroom windows overlooked it (they were all frosted glass and ours was plain glass.

Good central location, close to Hyde park. Tube, restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast Fully meet description and expedition with reasonable price. Highly recommended and happy to return on the next visit. Opportunity to improve: upgrade to newer smart TVs (not crucial for someone visiting London)

My familiy and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel over a weekend in London. The hotel has been newly refurbished and it shows in the quality of the rooms, and furnishings. The staff from the front desk to the dining room staff, were all polite, welcoming, and friendly. The hotel is also well located being within walking distance of Bayswater; Hyde Park, and Paddington. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at 'The Byron'.

Very helpful staff, who made that extra effort to make us comfortable. Spacious room with a small but adequate wardrobe, safe, long mirror, good lighting, many power sockets, comfy beds, proper cups in the bathroom. Large soft towels. Decent shower. Very quiet with tree view from window. Convenient for public transport and nearby park.

Comfortable room (I booked a double for myself) with much-needed, quiet and very effective aircon. Good quality Samsung TV, a decent kettle and reasonable tea/coffee etc. kept well topped up. Very comfortable hybrid mattress, good pillows and quilt, plus curtains which made the room fully dark, so I slept very well. Plenty of power sockets too - by the desk, and built into the headboard at both sides of the bed, which also featured reading lamps and switches for the main room light. Good sized bathroom; no bath, but a large shower (I'm over 6'4" and 120kg and didn't have to squeeze in or stoop) featuring both rainfall and separate body wash shower heads that could be used separately or together with no drop in water pressure. Breakfast buffet (both Full English and Continental) with cereals, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc. was also better than expected, and everything was kept topped up so I didn't see anyone having to wait. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

The room was modern, stylishly decorated, clean comfortable and a decent size for London.Cooked breakfasts tasty. There could have been more choice, but this could have been because we were dining toward the end of the breakfast period. Well situated and easy walk to Paddington station. I would definitely use this hotel again .
