Beautiful hotel in a lovely London location. It felt both relaxed and stylish. The service was amazing and the staff were very attentive. I felt both welcome and special. The food was great, and very tasty. The wine was very well received! I particularly enjoyed the wine waiters knowledge of the wines and his humour. It was nice to see...

Had a brilliant two night stay here for a family wedding. Food was excellent. More than what we normally pay for rooms but as it was a wedding decided to stay. Rooms clean and bright most with lovely views. It would be advisable if you don't use lifts to let them know when you book as I didn't and had...

Dear Belinda H, I'm glad you decided to stay with us for the wedding recently. The rooms and hotel have gone through a huge refurbishment and I was pleased to hear that this didn't go un-noticed. Thanks also for the heads up regarding the fire stairs. We do have a main guest staircse in the centre of the building but...

I booked this hotel for my Mothers 70th birthday and everything was amazing. The pre party information was bang on and nothing was too much trouble. The greeting as soon as we walked in was warm and efficient. The room newly decorated and was definitely of a 5 star quality. The service was 110% with all 20 dishes arriving at...

Dear Darren S, What a wonderful review, thank you so much for taking the time. The team have been working hard to get the service element right and it seems they might have cracked it. The recent positive reviews have given the team a real boost so thank you for acknowledging their efforts. Kind regards, Phil Lewis General Manager

I went to Cannizaro House in Wimbledon which has recently been taken over by Hotel Du Vin. I met some friends there for lunch before playing 18 holes of golf on the neighbouring course, Wimbledon Common golf club. We then returned for dinner and then stayed overnight. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do any more to...

Dear Travelerboss, Reviews like yours make all the hard work worth while and the team and I appreciate the positive comments. It sounds like you had a great few days here and I hope the golf was as good as the steak! As the GM I really feel like we have turned a huge corner and therefore I'm delighted to...

We have stayed at Cannizaro House often but this was our first visit since its rebranding as part of the Hotel du Vin chain. We were welcomed like long lost friends by the wonderful Joanne who thankfully has not moved on (yet) - and long may she remain because she always takes wonderful care of we two disabled travellers. The...

Dear CNRC, Thank you for your review and for the constructive fedback within. Not a place for one wanting to treat themselves to a get away or relaxing retreat. For the prices you pay, you would expect large clean rooms, perfect service and delicious food. The rooms were a good size but the smelt awful, hairs on the bed and bathroom and wafer thin walls. I stayed with a friend at the hotel...

Hello JingoJang, I'm so sorry you didn't have a good stay. We have made so much progress in the last few months but it seems on this occasion we really let you down. We have had a few ups and downs with the food and beverage offering but the rooms have always been a reliable constant so I was surprised...

Most things about this hotel are great. The personal treatment on arrival was superb. After check in, we were taken directly to our room. We know this doesn't happen in all HdeV's. The room itself was wonderful, overlooking the park. It was clean, had a separate shower and bath (we always like this), robes, and had a very comfortable bed....

Thanks YosemitePaul, A terrific review that is gratefully received. I'm sorry about your initial breakfast experience, certainly not the standard we strive for. I was however pleased that the rest of your stay justified a 5/5 review. Thanks again and hopefully see you back soon. Phil Lewis General Manager

Fantastic location for Wimbledon Village and Common with good links to central London. Friendly, helpful and efficient reception staff. A very clean chic hotel with luxurious rooms. In our opinion a much improved atmosphere now the hotel is under the new "Hotel du Vin" ownership. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return more frequently than we used to.

I booked this last minute for their Sunday night offer, which is £25 for the room if spending £75 at dinner. Easily done, and actually we paid the upgrade to the deluxe room which was lovely. Beautifully decorated, lovely view over the park and good size bathroom with great shower. Espresso machine and kettle provided, real milk in the mini...

This is the second time I have stayed and was slightly disappointed. The house and grounds are wonderful, the rooms very tastefully decorated and the breakfast divine, sitting taking in the beautiful gardens. However, this time the reception staff were less welcoming and less accommodating and the hotel overpriced.
