Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.

Yep, that's all this place had going for it! The rooms were clean for the most part. The mirror outside the bathroom had something dribbled down it that was never cleaned the entire 8 days we were there. There was a small rip in the sheet covering the mattress, but since it was on the side and not the surface of the bed, it must not have mattered. The bed itself was HARD and uncomfortable. One day they accidentally skipped cleaning our room. They did come check it but it was a day we had come back early for a break, so while it did get cleaned it was a bit inconvenient. The hotel itself had nothing special to offer. Yes they had breakfasts but we only ate there the first few days. They were just not good quality food. The sausages had huge chunks of fat or something chewy, not your typical english sausages, that's for sure! A couple of times we had to request more eggs as they had run out. You could tell they had just been sitting in back for a while probably under a lamp to keep them warmish, BOTH times! We ended up mid trip deciding we'd rather pay for a decent meal and walked to Cafe Concerto just down the road for the rest of our trip. (Worth every penny we spent there too!) Another disappointment for us is there was no place to relax in the hotel. The only community seating they had was a few seats in reception. We were traveling with family, so it would have been wonderful to have a bar area to come back to and discuss dinner plans, regroup or just chill for a bit.

We stayed for one night in January 2019 as part of my husband's 50th birthday celebrations. The hotel was easy to find, had a very welcoming customer service team and we were delighted by the quality and cleanliness of the room. An added treat was the bottle of sparkling wine provided - a lovely touch and much appreciated.

The hotel is very centrally located, absolutely perfect for a city trip but the most amazing for me was, I have seldom met such friendly and helpful hotel staff. So I and my children 9 and 11 would return every time and I look forward for my next stay.

Great location and all staff really friendly and helpful. Hassle free check in / out and free room upgrade provided. Despite being in central London very quiet room and large comfy bed with good in room facilities.

Sorry, I don’t have an exact answer to your question but most hotels in the UK have a laundry service. Few, particularly in central London, have self-serve laundry.
