Staff are a little arrogant, food is. Slow par so don't eat here and our executive suite while vast, - tad aged and had its issues such as drain in basin not working. Beautiful old building but I would not recommend it.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 16 January 2017

I love the Waldorf because it has a lovely feel about it. It is an historic building in its own right and the staff understand how that heritage has to be maintained. They all seem to work hard to preserve that aura. We were given a warm welcome by Jemma McKay who settled us in for our three night stay....

Stayed here when I went to see Beautiful the Carole king musical. Fabulous position in centre of London. Ideal for Covent Garden. Very attentive staff. Drinks are pricey but the bar was lovely. We were able to use executive lounge so took advantage of the snacks and wine before going out. There is a pool but we didn't use it....

1st time to London and WOW was I impressed. Stayed for 5 nights at the Waldorf and was very impressed. It has class... every employee always greets you with a smile. The rooms seemed to have been recently updated and the bed was soooo comfortable. Everyone warned me about small rooms & bathrooms. I was stoked to get a King...

I've stayed at the Wardorf many times and this time for my birthday! All was great as usual and having a lovely time! That was until I laid in bed after a lovely meal at the Oxo Tower, to watch a mouse/rat run across my bedroom floor and under my bed!! I called reception who came up within 10mins and...

Dear sarahdarryl, I was very concerned to read about the mouse spotted in your room and sincerely apologise for this most unfortunate occurrence. Pest Control have been called to the room to investigate, proof and remove all possible entrance points. I appreciate this was most disconcerting and I apologise for this. I can only assure you that the hotel operates...

We chose this hotel because of its location. We will return because of its staff. The hotel is on Drury Lane and is convenient to both Covent Garden and the west end theaters. All are within comfortable walking distance and some are within a few steps or the hotel. The hotel design shows its age, with steps required to check...

Dear Jeffrey P, Thank you very much for your review and rating. We are pleased you enjoyed our central location. The hotel was built in 1908 and is a grand II protected building. There are wonderfully wide corridors and some do have steps along the way. The team are always available to assist with carrying items to rooms if required....

The hotel is beautiful and there is a real sense of history and individuality to the building and rooms. The location is perfect for Covent Garden and the West End. Our room was spacious and well maintained. Staff were excellent, Aoife checked us in and managed to answer all of our questions before we had even asked them, but without...

Don't let the name fool you! This is not a "genuine" Waldorf-Astoria 5-star resort, but rather a regular Hilton that happens to be named The Waldorf. I have no doubt that the hotel was once very splendid and luxurious, and indeed the doorman and the nice entryaway could give you the impression that it still is. I was not super...

Dear Rasmus H, Thank you for your review, as you quite rightly said we are The Waldorf Hilton and not part of the Waldorf Astoria brand. It's the Waldorf. That pretty much sums it up. Everything from the service to the accomodations and the location in London was exactly what is expected by such a prestigious brand and you are not disappointed. The added bonus was a cell phone for use during our stay with internet access and preloaded with maps, attraction suggestions etc - so...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
