We have stayed at this hotel before for West End Theatre breaks, and did so again due to our previous positive experiences. The location is perfect for the West End, rooms are a decent size and price (by West End standards), and the welcome is always pleasant. The same applied this time but with a couple of niggles: Breakfast. It...

We traveled with our teenage daughter. The staff was very accommodating! There was always a doorman to welcome us when coming and going. The double room was a perfect size and had privacy! The room was quiet. The in room tea service was nice to warm you up on a cold wet afternoon! We had the full English breakfast in...

A hotel full of history in a prime location- unfortunately the good old times, where this Hotel was one of the best in town seems to be over. First of all, it is still a good Hotel in a very good Location with Service you are expecting in this category (concierge, bell boy etc.) but the Hotel is not in...

Stayed over Christmas and after reading a few reviews I was a little apprehensive. No need it was great. The staff are really helpful especially the doormen. We woke on Christmas morning and found a stocking on the door handle outside with truffles, clementine sweets etc such a lovely surprise. The breakfast buffet was excellent quality and hot, loads of...

My fiance and I went to the New Years Eve gala. Started the evening in the cocktail bar, which wasn`t particularly special by grand hotel standards. When it was time we checked in for our evening, from start to finish the staff made us comfortable. Champagne and canopies while we mingled, then at 8.30 the doors opened to the magnificent...

I love the Waldorf because it has a lovely feel about it. It is an historic building in its own right and the staff understand how that heritage has to be maintained. They all seem to work hard to preserve that aura. We were given a warm welcome by Jemma McKay who settled us in for our three night stay....

Good Bedroom suite, staff friendliness Not good Executive Restaurant for breakfast - tired pastries, over done scrambled egg, cold bacon, cold plates Outrageous GBP12.50 for in room wi-if plus blocking technology that prevents receiving public wi-fi

great place to stay, very convenient and lovely room. Bar extremely expensive and slow service. Breakfast very good in the morning, rooms was very quiet at the back of the hotel. Would recommend as an overnighter for the theatre

We stayed 2 nights and when I told them it was our anniversary we got a bottle of wine. We were upgraded for an additional £150 to a junior suite and entrance to the VIP lounge. It was worth the extra and we would have no hesitation in going back next year. The breakfast was good and the staff were...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
