The hotel is beautiful and there is a real sense of history and individuality to the building and rooms. The location is perfect for Covent Garden and the West End. Our room was spacious and well maintained. Staff were excellent, Aoife checked us in and managed to answer all of our questions before we had even asked them, but without...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 16 January 2017

I love the Waldorf because it has a lovely feel about it. It is an historic building in its own right and the staff understand how that heritage has to be maintained. They all seem to work hard to preserve that aura. We were given a warm welcome by Jemma McKay who settled us in for our three night stay....

Don't let the name fool you! This is not a "genuine" Waldorf-Astoria 5-star resort, but rather a regular Hilton that happens to be named The Waldorf. I have no doubt that the hotel was once very splendid and luxurious, and indeed the doorman and the nice entryaway could give you the impression that it still is. I was not super...

It's the Waldorf. That pretty much sums it up. Everything from the service to the accomodations and the location in London was exactly what is expected by such a prestigious brand and you are not disappointed. The added bonus was a cell phone for use during our stay with internet access and preloaded with maps, attraction suggestions etc - so...

It could not be in a better position for all of the west end shows if it could try any harder. Direct next to 2 of the biggest shows in London and on the strand as well. A beautiful hotel which oozes charm and class. The staff are fantastic and will look after you all day and night long. For...

This is a very traditional upper class hotel. Rooms are cosy and clean. A king size bed, a comfortable chair with small low table and a relatively large desk with all kinds of electricity plugs (different standards : English, European and US) within easy reach. The bathroom had a tub with built in shower. The toilet is in the bathroom....

An urban hotel with a fine pricing for this visit. The staff did appear to care. Excellent location for dining and theater. Room was well laid out even though small. Bathroom exceeded expectations. We did not use the restaurants other than for continental breakfast and afternoon tea. Both were fine with a very attentive staff.

I spent 3 nights during Christmas holiday, arrived hotel at 7 in the morning, the receptionist was very friendly, he offered me an option to take a better room with a supplement upgrade rate, it was a reasonable rate, and I can go to the room immediately to get some rest after a long flight, which normally check in time...

My daughter and I stayed here to celebrate her 21st . Our room was not ready when we arrived 1pm but that was expected so we left our bags and had a wander around Covent Garden then to the Shard for birthday afternoon tea . We returned around 6 pm and there was a much welcomed big on tap jar...

I have just spent three days (two nights) at The Waldorf Hilton in Aldwych, London. I have stayed previously but as I had my 10 yr old daughter with me this visit, the dynamics were very different. Because of this, prior to our visit we liaised with the Hotel staff regarding accommodation. The staff could not have been more helpful....

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
