Neighbourhood
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.

Frankly, when it comes to the Sherlock, it’s prime location in Baker Street means that it is actually very simple to reach without taking a taxi. Last time I visited, I came into England by train and then took the underground to Baker Street tube station, crossed the road and five minutes later was at the hotel’s front desk and checking in. If you don’t wish to take the train / underground, I think that your best choice would be to take a taxi which will take you directly to the hotel. You could also email the hotel about shuttle recommendations and I am convinced that they will be more than happy to assist. It is a truly excellent hotel, and again, location location location. Enjoy !

No, the hotel does not have a private car park. There is a car park close by with 50% off if you're staying at the hotel. We took the train so didn't need to look into it. Secure Parking 170 Marylebone Road London NW1 5AR Tel: +44 845 600 6456 Cost hr/24hr : £7.5/£45
