Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just spent 4 nights here, myself and my 10 year old daughter. We got a twin room in the renovated section of the hotel and it was great. Bigger than expected (comfortable amount of space between the beds, space for a desk and chair in the room, so not tiny like some London hotels. Bathroom was very compact but perfectly adequate. Good pressure in the shower, and once you kept the shower curtain inside the shower, it was fine. We hadn't prebooked breakfast but were able to pay on the morning, and it was £10.50 for me and kids eat free. Good selection for breakfast - fresh fruit, toast, bagels, croissants, pancakes, yoghurt, granola, cereal (corn flakes, crunchy nut, rice krispies, weetabix), porridge, plenty of hot food - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pudding etc. We ate early both mornings (circa 7am or so) and breakfast was very quiet and everything was very fresh at that time. We paid for the Wifi and the speed was good enough to watch Netflix on the phone etc, so no issues at all there. We also left our luggage there on the last day - they have a left luggage service between 9am and 6pm, which was very useful. Location could not have been better - easy walk to 3 Tube stations - about 7 minutes to Covent Garden, 6 minutes to Holborn, 10 minutes to Tottingham Court Road - and about 3 minutes walk to Tesco Express, so very easy to stock up on water etc. We didn't have any issues with noise while we stayed there and slept well. There were spare pillows in the room. Lots of choice of TV channels. Room was not serviced while we were there, but we were told that at check-in, and there is a door hanger supplied so you can list anything you need more of. We didn't need anything extra during our stay so didn't use it. Note: There are steep stairs up to the hotel at the front on the building, but there is an accessible entrance around the side with a ramp instead. Would highly recommend this hotel based on our recent experience!

Economic Stays while on the go is Travelodge at covent garden. They offer an efficient and quick service from stay related issues to food. The rooms even if a tad small in size, is clean and utilitarian. If you need a functional stay at stones throw distance to anywhere in the city, this is your place. Our support at the reception ( I think Vamsika) checking us in on the 6th April as well as on the 16th were very helpful.

This hotel is in a great location, but unfortunately there was building works round the corner that was very noisey! I also wouldn’t recommend their vending machine unless you want a mystery chocolate as it dispenses the wrong chocolate. Breakfast was nice, cant go wrong. The room was dirty in areas you would assume they would clean like the bathroom sink, the faucet had some brown markings running down it potentially rust, and the bath had one very questionable stain, a faint red stain at that running into the tub. Hotel staff were very helpful. Overall a decent cheap hotel if you don’t want to spend the big smackers in a good location just don’t take your snoring mother with you unless you want a pig farm in your room!!

Restaurant staff were lovely, Adelina, Aliyah and Jess, and very attentive even when busy. Food was good, thank you to Ahmed and Hoque fairly priced with their meal deal menu and cooked well. Room was simple and at times quite noisy but overall very comfortable and the staff were quick to react when the heating stopped working! Showers fantastic!
