We stayed here for 3 nights from New Years Eve. As luck may have it, room 502 had almost uninterrupted views of the London eye and hence the midnight fireworks from our bed. This was fantastic for us as both of us were sick and unable to venture out to NY celebrations. Having just been in Paris in a 12m...

One night stay here in December 2016. Bedroom was dark and small although clean. All the space in this hotel seems to have been used up by the lobby! The conference rooms were small with no windows. The hotel is a minute walk to an underground station.

We stayed at this hotel for two full weeks. Great Location right next to Glouster tube station and walking distances to great restaurants, stores and the museums of Natural History and Victoria and Albert. They upgraded us from the 3rd to 4th floor because the safe, lamp, wifi and TV were not working in the 3rd floor room. The maintenance...

Due to Sunday/Monday Tube strike, we decided to drive to London on Sunday for a work event on Monday morning, this meant ideally changing hotels to one which had a car park. After a 6-hour car journey from Wales to London, we were looking forward to relaxing at the hotel. Unfortunately, this became bad news from the start. 1. We...

I stayed at Millennium Gloucester Hotel with my family over the Christmas and New Year holiday. It was the worst hotel in my honest opinion regarding the staff and services, except the concierge staff who were friendly and welcoming. The reception and front desk were unfriendly and inefficient. The rooms were not up to standard and the bathroom was dirty....

Very friendly and efficient at Reception. Club room, quiet, fairly spacious and comfortable with usual amenities including safe box. Room thermostat. TV and free access WiFi. Breakfast buffet very good with a full range of cooked, cereals, breads, juices, fruits. Friendly and knowledgeable Concierge staff. Short walk to Gloucester Road underground station and shops on Gloucester Road and Old Brompton...

My friend and I planned to visit London with our children as a short break and she decided on the hotel as she had stayed there previous years. We booked via booking months in advance. The rooms are a disappointment. They are in need of desperate refurbishment and their house keeping is very poor, unwelcomingly dirty rooms. The manager provided...

This hotel has a very efficient reception staff that were well informed and helpful. The location is great if visiting the Royal Albert Hall or the museums in Exhibition Road and there are plenty of eateries close by in Cromwell Road - the rooms seems a little dated but were generally well appointed

Classic, stylish hotel in a great location, close to Gloucester Road underground station, good variety of dining in the neighborhood, luxury suite was perfect for our three. It is needed some renovation in bathrooms.., but stylish lay out of our suite with antique tones, was very attractive to me, being symbols of the old London.

One of the very few times that I am writing something negative about a hotel. Although, the location of the hotel is perfect (close to pubs, restaurants, tube stations, attractions), my experience regarding the hotel itself is bad. Firstly, the reception personnel seem not to coordinate with each other and I had to explain several times and to different persons...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
