I stayed at Holiday inn Kensington for a week for business. Nice hotel located off Kensington road and therefore very quiet. Breakfast was great - quick buffet that is divided to two so not all the guests have to stand in line for the warm dishes. The food is in high quality and the staff was always kind and looking...

To be fair, this hotel is well positioned, and is very close to the tube station and was reasonably priced. The room was modern and comfortable and I would definitely stay here again. My only gripe is that my company booked this hotel, and our policy is to request a double room for single occupancy. We booked this room about...

Very small room. Good central London location. The windows were filthy!!! Could hardly see out of them! Good selection at breakfast. Big groups of noisy, cheeky students in the hotel. Doubtful I would choose this hotel again.

Positive points: hotel has a good location, very nice staff and a very good breakfast. Rooms are always clean. Good value for money. Negative: rooms look a little bit old fashioned and some can be noisy.

Great service with a smile, clean and tidy rooms ~(if a bit small), a really nice breakfast and a friendly and English pub with a bit of atmosphere. The hotel is very close to the tube station, very close to Regent Park, Harrods, The Natural history museum and many more attractions - great location.

Good value , lovely views , nice walk to Kensington gardens. Room was very spacious and clean. Would recommend good breakfast . Only downside was staff at breakfast were unsmiling and lazy. Asked for a tea, I had to ask again. On the way out I saw him sat chatting to the receptionist! The omelette man was miserable too. The...

Stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights the location of the Hotel is excellent, especially if you are visiting the nearby Museums and shops in Knightsbridge; the staff are friendly and attentive and the adjacent Car Park is a great asset. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menu looked good with plenty of choice, because we booked executive...

We booked a king sized room . We got a king sized bed - however that was the width of the room. So the person near the bathroom would have to get out of bed so the other can use the bathroom. To make master worse I went to the bar - a glass of wine £15.75. That is significantly...

We stayed here for a night during school half term and fortunately it was just the one night. The hotel is in a good location and very close to Gloucester Road tube station, Museums and 'that' big shop. Breakfast was fairly good value for money, if a bit of a scrum at the hot food counter but the good points...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
