Average overall. Very big hotel in a wonderful location near Hyde Park Corner. It’s a bit impersonal given its size and speed of everything. But it has everything you need. Also Trader Vic’s Restaurant is good and on premises.
As a Hilton member and paying a premium for the location, I refuse to trust their online pictures of hotel quality. My room was the size of a closet and bathroom was falling apart - only upon checking my Hilton App post booking and talking to local staff did I discover the hotel was closing 1+ day of my departure. I would recommend others to SPG/Marriott hotels for more transparency and quality of room/stay. …
The hotel is so worn, it is a disgrace for the brand that Hilton keeps it running. It really needs a full refurbishment In addition the staff ignored my request at checkout, and following a subsequent call to the front desk, to change my billing address - While I was told this would be done and I would receive a revised invoice - I never did…
My wife and I booked a room at the Hilton Green Park for a visit in early Sept 2018. This hotel is in a phenomenal location for visiting London. But this property is in desperate need of renovation. We had to change rooms twice before we found an acceptable room. The first room was small, noisy, drafty and the shower head kept falling down. The second room was smaller and worse. The third room was finally acceptable. However the rugs in our room were worn, the wall paint was peeling and the windows were drafty. The staff, however, were lovely and very accommodating. They couldn’t have been nicer. If you don’t mind the wear and tear, this is a good choice. Otherwise, perhaps another Mayfair hotel is a better option until Hilton updates this property.…
Location location location! Just steps away from Shepard’s Market and in a charming location, but that’s where it ends. - The carpet is disgusting and the floor desperately needs repair. The floor was uneven in my room and I honestly thought I was going to fall through the floor. - The WiFi is an absolute joke. When it worked it was the equivalent of dial up, maybe a wee bit faster. But it dropped often and was mostly useless. - Bathroom was nice, no complaints there. - Breakfast buffet was good, a bit expensive though. Almost 30 pounds for one breakfast = ouch. - Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Kind of like sleeping on the floor. All in all, it’s a bed to sleep in but expect a hotel that’s seen better days. Very surprised Hilton allows there name to be on it. By far, the worst Hilton I’ve stayed at. …
"Don't stay at this hotel! Each floor has multiple stairs to get to any room so if you have to, get a room right outside the elevator."Read full review
"Once this hotel has been remodeled it'll be packed all the time. Because the staff is great. Building is awful."Read full review
