I visited The Pembridge Palace Hotel in London along with my wife and daughter, we arrived at mid night, we where horrified by the quality of the rooms, beds, and bed sheets. They were dirty and stained, I went to the reception to complain the man at the reception was unhelpful because he know nothing about this problem and how...

at first I knew not to expect much because i read the previous reviews before i travelled, but thought id gave them the benefit of the doubt and see for myself. the entrance into the hotel isn´t suitable for a pram or wheelchair user, pram in our case. The young girl on the reception was friendly but not much else....

This is definitely not a 3* hotel! There were 5 of us staying in a family room which had a stair case and two floors. 5 single beds. The upstairs could not fit anyone over 5ft 3 and we had to kneel on the floor to get changed. The toilet smelt like egg every time we flushed it and the...

A 5 minute walk from Bayswater underground station. Hotel situated in road with sign Leinster Square on one side, and Princes Square on other. 24 hour reception. Came on a school trip in April 2016. Didn't have high expectations (as it was a school trip hotel) but I can imagine was still not great quality for any other user of the hotel. When we arrived the welcome staff seemed friendly and helpful enough but the lobby was outdated and ugly and clearly needed redecorating. Our room was......

Booked this hotel last minute for a Friday night which cost me just under £50 from Hotels.com. I looked at the reviews and saw how many people gave this hotel 1 star reviews and I was a bit sceptical but I wanted some where cheap to stay and close to a tube station which would get me into London quickly....

Comfortable beds at this hotel but that was about the only positive thing I could say. The whole place is in need of modernisation and a good rejuvenation. When we arrived the entrance hall looked like something out of Fawlty Towers. The Reception staff were friendly on arrival though. When we first arrived in our room it was so hot...

The room was tired but more importantly dirty. The plug hole was disgusting. The dining room was overcrowded and resembled a YMCA with the long tables. Not worth the money paid even for the fairly central location.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
