Stayed here for one night with my sister in late November. We had booked a twin room in the Dolphin Hotel next door, but on arrival, were told that we were to be accommodated in the sister hotel, Shakespeare. Plastic bags piled near the entrance were not encouraging, but once inside we were warmly welcomed. Our room was on the...

My partner and I stayed here for one night after seeing a show at the West End. We weren't expecting too much but were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and simple. We were surprised by it being a large 5 bed room rather than the standard double we ordered, but this wasn't a problem. Bathroom was good too, small but...

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on a leisure trup to London. The hotel is in close proximity to the tube and has lots of restaurants surrounding it. Oxford Street is closely located The room size is very small for the single room and the facilites in the hotel are pretty basic. However , the staff is very courteous...

This was our second stay in this hotel. First time I posted a very good feedback with promise we will return. So we did, but concerning the second stay I am not going to be so positive, because we had probably the smallest roon on the ground floor next to the stairs with view into the wall. Even the double...

I liked this small friendly hotel. The room met all my needs and was comfortable. It is located in a neighborhood side street located one block from the Paddington Station. The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and shops within steps of the hotel. The building is over 200 years old and is not a fancy dancy hotel and you should...

For value for money with budget accommodation the Shakespeare ticks all the right boxes. On arrival check in was quick and easy I got to my room on the fourth floor and it's a fair stair climb!
