This is a small hotel in a wonderfully convenient location. Some might consider a touch old fashioned but I loved that about it. I stayed in a single room - comfortable bed, good pillows. If you want a plastic kettle and tea bags in the bedroom that you have to somehow fill from the bathroom tap; a breakfast buffet that...

Great location and sense of character. The hotel is really charming and atmospheric especially the dining room. Silver plated cutlery and stamped dinner plates give a real sense of style. The traditional evening menu is wonderful eg cheese soufflé, crepes suzette etc, however over our two night stay the quality was a little hit and miss. Breakfast is frustrating. There...

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. 1 room should have been a twin room but wasn't. We helped the concierge unzip the beds to try and create 2 beds for our teenage children. We asked for a kettle for our room. We were told only 3 were available in the hotel for guests and they may all be taken....

Really please with our stay at Durrants. Beautiful room. Quiet with excellent staff. It lost one star as no tea & coffee making facilities and ended up with a ridiculous room service bill. Other than that, it was an excellent hotel 👍

We visited in mid October. There was a lovely wood burning fire going and a cute little bar. The dining room was set for the evening and was gorgeous. Everything was as neat as a pin. We will make sure to come back.

The Durrants was one of my regular places to stay about 15 years ago, then when the prices went up above my budget I was forced to find alternatives. I spotted a single room for £145 so I booked for a return down memory lane. Not much has changed, even some of the staff are still there. It is still...

By the time my project is over on Christmas Eve I will have had 25 + room nights at Durrants - both booked directly and through booking.com. It's perfect for me as my business projects are on Oxford Street which is a short and handsome walk across Manchester Square. I've found the hotel staff extremely pleasant and responsive - I...

This hotel is lovely and quaint. The rooms are quite small but comfortable and the temperature is adjustable. We were very disappointed that there is no kettle in the room, considering the standard of the hotel. I'm not sure it is worth its price tag

We felt well looked after at the Durrants which is in a quiet yet central location immediately behind the Wallace Collection. Our room was small but comfortable. The bar areas lovely and cosy. The staff attentive. It feels right that the Durrants is managed by own owner family - the Millers - for a hundred years. We liked the antique...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
