My friend and I came for a cheap trip to get an early start in the morning to look round exhibits etc. Which is what we got. However, when we got into the room, there were NO DUVETS! only towels and extremely thin blankets. We then went down to reception to double check that the duvets didn't come with the... More

The toilet was disgusting (there was "a shower" too and it was basically the toilet). Dirty rooms (so small that the luggages barely entered in it) and NO BREAKFAST. They say free breakfast but there was no breakfast at all (and the staff wasn't nice). If you pay in euro they apply a change that is 1£=1.50€ (so it is... More

Positive: We paid £65 for one night stay (ensuite). The price is very good for the hotel's central location. You only have to walk about 5 min to reach the British Museum, 10-15 min until you reach Oxford Street. Negative: ... What baffles me is that they can do something to improve the overall experience of the customers without spending... More

I guess you get what you pay for! Great location that's the only positive, a tent is more luxurious and clean if you could get running water I'd suggest you stay in one of those!! Not a pleasant experience, grotty bed linen and grubby rooms, shower falling apart and wafer thin walls, the key on the front door worked really... More

Although cheap by central London standards and while it was at least clean, the owners really need to try a little harder. The photos they've used to promote are incredibly misleading. Very unstable bed on the point of collapse. Light above bed not working. £20 deposit to have a remote control to switch on the telly. No air conditioning. No... More

...not much, so I wasn't disappointed. However, on walking in, there was a distinctly musty smell. Staff were OK, room was basic, knew it was a shared loo. Bedding was clean, reason for the low score was the quality of the mattress, really bad, very uncomfortable. I turned it over, as the bottom seemed slightly better, probably not been turned... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
