Stayed here last minute as our previous hotel had cancelled our booking without telling us and Mitre was the only hotel nearby with vacancies. Good price for the great location right neat Paddington station and close to Hyde Park. Hotel did smell smokey and the rooms were dated but clean. You get for what you pay for!!

We read all the current reviews at the time of booking, and decided to give it a go, as there were few vacancies left in that area. We found the female staff quite friendly and helpful, although the gentleman desk clerk was a bit miserable, the breakfast was full english and the staff were quick to serve most people who...

We had a quad room , beds comfortable though room small and very basic bathroom facilities. Room located in basement and there was no air conditioning and as we stayed during the recent heatwave with temperatures hitting 32 during the day and 19 at night we opened the window on doing this the room was innundated with swarms of insects...

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last 10 years, the last being in 2006. I had previously found it to be a good value-great location, clean rooms but nothing fancy. I had one night to spend in London after being in the UK for a wedding and chose to stay at the Mitre House Hotel again....

I had to stay in this hotel because my company pre-booked it for me, but I would like to warn people of what to expect. Reception staff have a take it or leave it attitude in fact seemed to go out of their way to make life awkward. Had to pack my case to be moved to another room six...

We selected Mitre House after having canceled another nearby self-proclaimed Notting Hill "value-conscious" property, and doing so was the best thing we could have done. The hotel is appears to be and is managed as a classic (read "non-chain") property. The rooms are a little small, as are the in-room TVs, but the place is clean Clean CLEAN and comfortable...

I chose to stay at the Mitre House Hotel without doing any research on it as I was in need of an alternate accommodation since my original lodgings did not work out. The location is excellent since the Paddington area includes several Tube and bus lines and a rail station. My main requirement at the time was that the room...

Ended up in the Mitre hotel due to an over booking in our selected hotel. The hotel offers basic accomodation for a good price. The rooms are styled traditionally and are a decent size, staff are friendly and there is a good choice for breakfast. The hotel has a charming bed and breakfast feel with a few locals popping in the...

Back in November, on a last minute emergency trip, me and my parents were desperately seeking to find a hotel to stay in London ,however, we couldn't find anything so a friend told us about mitre hotel. The mitre was a hotel desperately in need of a renovation and it seriously needs a change of furniture. However it is in...

We booked the Mitre House for six nights. We arrived at 11:30 am. Even though checkin was at 2 pm we were givern room almost immediately. We booked a triple room and was pleasantly surprised that it had three beds (room 404). The room is small, but most London hotel rooms are. The location of this hotel can not be...
