My husband, I and my 1 year old son stayed at the DoubleTree by the Tower of London for 9 nights and it was a very pleasant experience. Pros: 1. Excellent customer service - they were pleasant, professional, and very helpful. They helped us get a crib for all 9 nights, allowed us to check in 4 hours early and...

Dear 'Ranjini S' Thank you for providing such detailed feedback for us to take back to our teams. I do feel it important to mention that nearby construction works would not at all impact the security and safety of guest's staying in our hotel. Work taking place is under the strict supervision of the City of London together with the...

This is in a very good location for people visiting for work in the City but also for tourists as it is next to the Tower and Tower Hill Underground. There was nothing wrong with the room, the A/C was quite noisy but the room was instantly forgettable. Service was fine. It's location is alongside the Novatel, Apex and the...

Firstly the hotel is ideally located for tourists and business. One minute from Fenchurch Street station, DLR and Tower Hill tube, so easy to get around. Its also...

Enjoyable stay from start to finish. Very convenient to Tower Hill tube station and to the DLR if you need to get to excel or the O2 and room prices were reflective of the high standard of this hotel. On arrival, staff were friendly and welcoming, with our somewhat early arrival seemingly no trouble to them. As has been mentioned...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
