We just arrived this evening. A lovely gentleman greeted us & helped us in with our bags. That was where the good first impression left us. The girl on the front desk was mildly bored with the checking in process. The man next to her greeted me with (to my husband) “is she with you”? Delightful! No one offered help to take our bags up. My not unusual request (you would think for a high end hotel) for an iron & ironing board to prepare for an early morning meeting. Was no sorry,but call at 6 am & there will be some we are at almost 100% occupancy. When I questioned the validity of this claim I was assured there were plenty of people to bring me one but there wasn’t any available. Again she insisted there would be some. Perhaps I’m taking a wild guess at 6am tomorrow morning it won’t be Miss Mildly Bored’s problem. Underwhelmed is an understatement!! …

I’d like to rate the staff very highly for how caring they were during my time at the hotel for afternoon tea at 2pm today with my friend. There was a lady as well as Joseph and Said who were very accommodating and had an extremely polite nature to them. Thank you again for your hospitality and great customer service. The entire hotel is spotless. The comfiest hotel bed i have ever slept in. Food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The staff could not do enough for us. We were always greted with a smile. I highly recommend any one who wants a class hotel away from the hustle and bustle to give it a try. The best view of the river also.

More than a month after making the reservation, the hotel contacted us to inform us that there was an error in the pricing and that they would be canceling our reservation. This situation is highly unprofessional, especially considering that prices tend to increase over time. We are actually relieved that we won't be staying at this hotel, as it appears to be poorly managed and potentially facing financial difficulties.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are large, as it the bathroom and we had a stunning view of the river (particularly impressive at night). The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was first class. We'll definitely be back.

The staff are very helpful. Room and bed was very comfortable with a separate bath and shower, bathrobes were provided. We used the swimming pool which is in the Virgin Active gym next to the hotel accessed via a gate. Lovely views over The Thames. You have to request tea and coffee making facilities which is disappointing considering the quality of the hotel. It came quickly but missing coffee so he had to come back with that and then not enough milk so another request was made cor extra milk. Breakfast tip - the Premier Inn which is a 5 minute walk up the road does an amazing breakfast which is open to non residents. £10 or so for adults and half price for children. Hot and cold buffet. Much better value

I stay here regularly and sadly the standards are becoming poorer as time progresses. Although the rooms and facilities are of good quality, the service is getting worse and not what I would expect for a 4/5 star hotel. The front office staff seem to want to ‘sell’ you everything. From short term parking to having a roller bed in your room. As a frequent visitor the hotel they have on occasion ‘offered’ me upgrades to my room which Ive refused as usually I am travelling on my own. This one time I took them up on their offer (as I was bringing my children with me) and they fell completely short, over promising and under delivering. When I called them ahead of booking they looked at my file and said they would put rollerbeds in the room and provide parking. When I arrived they apologised for not having sorted out the roller bed as there was an ‘admin error’. They then tried to charge me 35 pound per day and mumbled something about commission. (the public car park underneath the building was cheaper so we went there instead.) They talked through facilities including the use of the gym making it clear my children would not be able to use it on the 1st jan. however they didn’t mention they would be closing early the day before so when we turned up at reception dressed for the pool, the reception team challenged me saying it ‘they made sure they told everyone the gym was closing early’. When I explained they did not explain this to me or my family there simple response was to apologise but make no attempt to make any amends. In terms of customer service, overall there seems to be no motivation to make sure the customer is happy. They seem to believe saying sorry over and over again is enough with no initiative to offer alternative solutions. There is little to no good will being presented. Very disappointed this time round…
