On check in I noticed the A/C wasn’t working and the room was quite hot. It was late so I was told that it couldn’t be fixed until the morning. The following evening on returning to my hotel the A/C was still not working and the room was even hotter. I left the following morning and let the hotel know how unhappy I was with the response to the broken A/C. I didn’t even get a real apology, the reception staff did take another note in a book but that was it.…
My mother, daughter, and I stayed at this property for five nights in May. To add context, I travel and stay in hotels approximately 80-100 nights a year...mostly for business but also for leisure, and I’ve been doing this for 15 years. Hands down, the staff at this hotel provided the best service I have ever experienced. Upon arrival when our taxi driver brought our first bag into the hotel, Sarah literally ran outside to assist us with our luggage and to welcome us. She was also always willing to hail us a taxi or assist in anyway that she could. We had booked a family room suite which was absolutely beautiful and spacious; however, my mother wasn’t happy with the location and Tim was quick to find us an accommodation that would work better for us that would be available on our second day. Tim arranged to have the luggage moved from one room to next while we were out and about for the day. We also had a lot of interactions with Sandra at the front desk who also very lovely. It was like all of the staff there knew all of the guests that were staying in the hotel. The staff at this hotel are too notch!!! We felt very safe, secure, and at home there!!! It is a historic boutique hotel and deviates from prototypical commercial Hilton style property and was exactly what we hoped for in a London stay! Rooms are small but quaint and comfortable. All of the hotel restaurant staff were great too...particularly during breakfast. Only feedback I have for improvement at the hotel is that they change the breakfast buffet options up daily and that they replace the guest room bathroom garbage cans with much larger ones. Other than that, everything was perfect! We are already planning our return trip and will definitely be staying at this hotel again! The location is great....quiet compared to some of the more touristy areas with easy access to bus stops and the tube. We loved being right across the street from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens where we spent a lot of time. A plus to this location is having a Starbucks just a two minute walk away! Can’t wait to return! …
Upon arrival, i was met by a trainee staff and a trainer who helped me to check in. The hotel is called Hilton Hyde Park, however the room which was assigned had NO view of anything but other rooms on second floor let alone Hyde Park! The room was the smallest room i have ever stayed in over 40+ years of my travels around the globe! The bed was so small and very uncomfortable! As a Diamond member, i expected a better treatment! I was expecting a club level or a lounge that i can meet with clients and conduct some business, however the hotel did not have either! …
The stay was quite good. I didn’t get to experience the restaurants but did go to the bar twice. The bar can be improved a lot. It’s a great location but looks extremely dead. Less attractive means less people means less lively.
Hyde Park entrance is across the street which provides access to a beautiful green space including Kensington Palace, memorials, playground, water features and exit on the south side to Buckingham Palace for those who enjoy walking. Room & bathroom are neat and clean. Breakfast is a nice variety to please all in your party. Around the corner from restaurants, stores and trains.…
