We stayed here as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers in a Junior Suite for one night. The Hotel is 10mins walk from High St Kensington Tube, and 10 mins walk from the Natural History, Science, and V&A Museums and the Royal Albert Hall. The building is beautiful, and many original features have been retained. It's a very...

Stayed for one night as we were at an event in a hotel across the way. Very near the tube station but the website didn't give good directions and we had to go on google maps to find it. High steps at the front of the hotel but we were approached on arrival to ask if we wanted help with...

Stayed here for one night on a trip to the Royal Albert Hall which is just a few minutes walk away. Very comfortable and the reception and other staff were very helpful and friendly. Also reasonably priced. Breakfast was good but was a bit of a free for all. However would definitely stay again.

Good hotel, staff are friendly but beware of a Canadian resident who stays in this hotel who is extremely rude..! However, nevertheless this hotel is close proximity to Hyde park, museums, imperial college I would recommend this hotel especially if you like running or walking as we went for a run every morning...!!

For the price we paid this hotel represented good value. It was in a convenient location close to the Albert Hall, Kensington High Street and museums. The staff were welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable although the carpet looked a bit tired.

Beautiful building and in a quiet part of London. Excellent location for the Albert Hall which was ideal as I only had a 5-7 min stroll to my concert. On arrival reception was efficient-nice to sit down through the process. Friendly member of staff took my case to the room and showed me around. I had a free upgrade to...

The hotel appears recently refurbished and beds are comfortable. Water pressure is good and the bathrooms feature Elemis amenities. Rooms have No air-conditioning and are London-size small. Overall the quality is up to a decent 4 star. A sad let down is the breakfast. 1 type of ham and cheese, a few cereals, some pastry items. That's all. Service in...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
