I took my wife here for a couple of days as a birthday treat. There is no doubt that this is a very good hotel and we enjoyed it's comfort, and the meticulous personal attention afforded by every single member of staff, who were helpful, polite, and attentive to the nth degree .. in fact so much so, that I...

Had the pleasure of staying two nights in the London Marriott Hotel County Hall with my daughter when we were attending an event at the BFI South Bank. The hotel is in a perfect location right beside the London Eye (and I mean right beside - our bedroom looked out on to it!), and just seconds from historic Westminster (Big...

When you have a hotel that is situated across from Big Ben and is situated beside the London Eye, you cannot fail to be impressed. I am very happy to say that the very high quality of service and food we found during our visit for dinner on the 13th January 2017 was amazing. The staff were also very attentive...

Stayed here for a weeks visit to London. It's right on the banks of the Thames and has great river views. You can hear Big Ben which is great. Location is great, transportation options are awsome. Taxi, the Tube, buses and river boat. If you have a hard time walking try getting a room close to the elevator, this building was once government offices...

First off, this is a top location. Walk out the door and see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Excellent. And great staff...all very helpful, especially staff in the bar/restaurant area. But..... No great view. I changed room 3 times....first room, no view of Thames at all (which is not what i booked, and as a platinum elite member,...

I stayed at Marriott County Hall on New Year's Day for one night. The location is perfect and I had a Thames view room on the 3rd floor. I could almost touch the London Eye. Room was modern, well renovated, spacious, clean, bright and the bathroom was nice with a big shower. I like the wall paper with the London...

We just had one of the greatest stays in beautiful London! Great room & views, good leisure facilities, friendly and helpful staff, I would say it is one of the best located hotel in Greater London! I would definitely recommend this for business or leisure travellers.

This is historical building by the Thames, so don't expect a fancy lobby but it does have a great entrance from outside. We had a river view room, you can see the Big Bend right there, we really enjoy the view! The service was great but nothing out of the ordinary, we actually don't need too much attention or service....

We stayed 6 nights over Christmas, and really appreciated the location and service of the hotel. It was close to major sights and provided comfortable rooms. The executive lounge provided great breakfasts and evening snacks. This hotel was a great base for getting around and seeing London. Occasionally room service would be slow, or we would miss daily housekeeping because...

My family and I stayed at this hotel around New Year's Eve. It is a perfect location for the festivities in London, but the hotel did not seem prepared for a full crowd. When we arrived after the check-in time, our room was not ready. The staff told us the room would be ready within 30 minutes, but it was...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
