What can I say from the moment we arrived until we left we were thoroughly impressed both with the the staff, service and room. Grand entrance, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you and great size room. Very clean and comfortable and so close to both the tube and Diana memorial/ Kensington Gardens. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

We booked 2 rooms, 1 twin and 1 double after seeing the pictures of a beautiful 4 star rooms and hotel..That's not what you get,the foyer is very posh but when you get in to the rooms they are very 70ts look wood vener basic b&b look the carpets are worn and frayed at the door grippers..we had four rooms 1st was dirty with hairs and cigarette paper in bathroom and the double bed was pushed to the wall .2nd there was no cold water and TV didn't work 3rd room TV didn't work 4th room was a twin we just said it fine as fed-up of moving after travelling for nearly 4hours had enough the one receptionist foreign long dark hair was very rude and abrupt however there's a black lady also there she's lovely also the breakfast food and staff were lovely. Would never recommend this and is now way 4 star Would love to know who gave them that rating as they must have been shown the advertised picture bedroom this is so much too ask for a nice hotel .

The location of this hotel is its major plus point. Ideally situated opposite Hyde Park, and within a couple of minutes walk from the tube, it was a perfect base for a family trip to London. We had booked a family room for myself, my wife and two children, and we were allocated a room with a double bed and a single bed, which made our sleeping arrangements difficult to say the least. I had sent the hotel a couple of emails leading up to our visit regarding the make up of the room but unfortunately did not receive a reply to either email. The room itself was okay - a bit tired and it wasn't possible to open the window. We also had an unusual issue of not being able to get any cold water in the bathroom - all taps produced was lukewarm - hot water. This wasn't a major issue but seemed a bit odd. Breakfast in the morning was excellent - a great selection of continental and English breakfast options to suit all - there were good options for our 3 year old and 7 year old as well. Overall, we used the hotel as a base and it was good for that , but it does appear to be in need a bit of TLC which would make it more of a four star hotel, than the comfortable three star it is at the moment.

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in London to see a show. The hotel is in an ideal location for the Central Line tube in to the heart of London, and Hyde Park. The reception is spacious modern and clean, as was the dining area. We were advised check in was after 15:00, so we arrived at 15:45 only to be told that our room was not ready and that we would have to wait. So after a 3 + hour trip from home to the hotel all you want to do is get in the room to relax. I asked about an upgrade room but was told they were full, this despite emails from the hotel saying would you like to upgrade!!!. Finally got to the room after 20 minutes, we had a standard room which to be honest was quite small, one double bed and one hard chair to sit on, the room was clean, but don't look too hard as you will soon see it was not as clean as it should be and very tired looking, we could not open a window, mind you looking at the frames they are in need of repair, cleaning and painting (flaking paint). The bathroom again was tired with damaged floor tiles, trims falling off of bath etc. The shower was ok but a warning the operation sign was round the wrong way in our room. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, but if you want more (replace used items) you have to go to reception. Good luck with that because they had also run out on my first trip, and on my second day visit had to find someone in the closed dining area. There is a room safe which we needed to use but it did not work, so we reported it day 1 and again day 2 finally they replaced the lock batteries. Please note the rooms are NOT CLEANED for the duration of your stay. Quote " We are following Government, Corus hotels guidelines regarding the safety for all our guest and staff during this unusual time. These extensive measures have been introduced throughout the hotel to safeguard everyone. Your bedroom will not be cleaned until the departure date. Should you require any tea coffee toiletries writing paper and pens etc, reception are happy to provide these upon request. If necessary, we will provide linen, Towels and bin bags for your litter allowing you to keep the room tidy for Health and Safety Reasons" unquote. Strange because my stay in a different hotel this last weekend was fully cleaning and item restock up was done on all days. In reality we think they are short of staff too make the rooms up each day, not what you expect from a London hotel, and certainly came with NO warning before we arrived, otherwise we would not have booked. Breakfast options are very good when items are replenished, on our last day many guests were waiting for hash browns which many including myself gave up on. Breakfast service day 1 and 2 was very good I think by Alain (but might have his name wrong could not quite read his badge) he was very attentive and kept on top of everything, However, lour last day was a disaster, we checked in and waited for a table by the window which was just being cleared by a waiter we had not seen before, he showed us to our table and we were served tea and Luke warm coffee, we got our cereals from the side as we did each day, finished these and we went for a hot selection, leaving our table still with our drinks on etc, however by the time we got back the same (only waiter in our area) had cleared our table and given it to another guest who had already been served their drinks. I explained that about 8 minutes earlier he had sat us here, and gave us drinks and that we were only getting hot food, after a bit of a fuss, mainly by him he moved the couple to another spare table so we sat down again and we were given hot drinks again, only half cups this time and a lot of my wife's tea went on the table, and not cleaned up. To say he was all over the place and easily flustered (also commented by other guest) is an understatement. So the next time we had to leave the table I asked the next table to guard it for me.... This spoilt out last breakfast before our long trip home. I am sure there are many rooms in this hotel that are very good, but this is a 4 star hotel and all rooms should be to that standard, our room barely made 1 star. It was very obvious to us that this hotel is understaffed in all areas, reception, breakfast and room cleaning and the hotel management urgently needs to correct this. For me Covid should not be used as an excuse for not cleaning rooms, other hotels are cleaning rooms during guest stays and I dare say following Government guidelines I fear these are more Corus guideline to save money. I would return for the location, but NOT a standard room.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. On arrival we were met but a nice young lady called Umo. she was very welcoming and very friendly. We had some requests and she was very helpful to make our stay very pleasant. The hotel was very nice and clean, breakfast very nice. Would recommend. Thank you Umo for making our wedding anniversary a hit.
