We booked two side-by-side rooms to accommodate a family trip to London. Kensington Gardens Hotel was great - super receptive to helping us with an early check-in (even though it couldn't be achieved, they really did try); a nice, comfy room that was quiet enough for us all to sleep soundly through the night. This hotel is close to the Glouchester tube station and several grocery stores. Staff was always friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is really very terrible, no professionalism and the price doesn't match with the quality of the services, I really did not recommend it. Also it's not clean. The toilet doesn't work properly and there is a noises due to the train station closer.
I was not expecting it to be this good, this will be my home on London trips now on. Really well located - the hotel it self is in a quiet area with a garden in front but less than ten minutes walk to Notting hill, the queens way tube is 5 mins away leaving the whole of London with in 20 mins. The rooms have everything you need , they are clean , warm and comfy. Mine had a view out across the garden. The staff have been wonderful too, the star rating does not do this place justice. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone or couple coming into London for the weekend. Excellent
I just wanted to come on here to write a review to be fair to the hotel. I booked with hotels.com and they asked about my check in and the room, so I said the room was very very small, which it is, but I didn’t have the opportunity to say anything else. Well although the room is very small it is also very clean and well designed, there is everything you need and the build(if that’s the right word) has been done to a very high standard. Also hotels.com sent my comment to the hotel whilst I was still here and although they couldn’t offer me a different room because the hotel was very busy they did offer me a free breakfast, so all in all I would definitely recommend the hotel and I would stay again.
Just started a three night stay at the Kensington Gardens Hotel and all I can say is magical. Every member of staff has been charming, friendly snd helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the food is delicious. Can’t recommend the hotel highly enough
I had booked a weekend stay in this hotel for my in-laws who were due to travel for a London trip from The Netherlands. The booking was made through Booking.com The room was booked long before covid but now, with covid regulations, it would have meant a compulsory 14 day quarantine on arrival to the UK. This wasn't possible or practical. I had many discussions about cancelling this reservation with Booking.com and had the impression from their website that any cancellations due to such covid regulations would be automatic and we would get a refund. Alas, because this was a "Basic" booking, this was not possible. I contacted the reservations office in the hotel and received fantastic support and help from Mary Donelan there who got in contact with both Booking.com and a third party through whom Booking.com had made the booking (caveat emptor!). It really was above and beyond the call of duty but Mary sorted out the problem and we received our money back. Thanks for the great customer service. I'll be sure to book directly with you when booking again! Gerry Rickard…
Hotel is located in a really good spot as it is close to both Bayswater and Queensway stations. Also close to Kensington Garden, which is lovely. There are a few supermarkets and restaurants around. Rooms are small but clean. My one issue was they put me on the last floor and there are no elevators. I was traveling with heavy luggage and a bad back so that was difficult.
Spent 1 night and was very impressed. Modern style furnishings in a vibrant part of town. Single room was suffice for my stay; had Room 15 on it's own landing. Clean and functional. Was 5 minutes walk away from underground, restaurants and bars. Would certainly recommend to friends and family. Thank you!
It was very nice and everyone there help us, they. all were always ready to give us information about what we needed. It's clean and breakfast is amazing and everyone there help us to understand how the subway works.
Compared to a lot of the other hotels in this area and around London of a similar price range, Kensington Gardens has a more upmarket feel. Spotless and well appointed, I very much enjoyed my stay. The location is also fantastic. Hyde Park is within walking distance as is the brilliant Notting Hill area, and Bayswater and Queensway underground are within 10 minutes walking distance. The only small complaint I would have would be the mattress being a bit too firm for my liking. In future visits to London, business or pleasure, I'd happily stay here again. Convenient, clean and lovely surroundings.
