I'm writing this review while lying in bed in my hotel room at the Ambassador Bloomsbury. I've been trying to get to sleep for two hours now amongst the chorus of loud and annoying noises in this hotel, mainly the elevator constantly going up and down which might as well be a Southwest Train on the other side of a...

Generally good and comfortable. However I have one significant gripe: it is very hard to use the (very small) desks (even for a laptop). I love the nespresso machines, but they take up half the desk, they are wired in and the cables are too short to let one put them anywhere else. This is true in all of the...

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we were in London for a theatre visit. We arrived at Euston station about 12.30 and decided to go to the hotel ( a few minutes walk away ) and leave our bags before booking in at 15.00. The very pleasant young lady on reception booked us in and informed...

My father and I went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat for myself. Service was incredibly slow. It wasn't until after the selection of cakes and sandwiches were brought out were we asked what we wanted to drink. The tea was simply a tea bag in a chipped dirty teapot (if you can call it that - it was...

This was a Monday night stay for an event at the hotel. Price was very good (although given it was a Monday), check in etc very easy. Room was better than expectations and far better than most Central London hotels. Well equipped, small but had everything. Event was very good. Food fine. All in all, recommended.

I have been staying at Ambassadors Bloomsbury on my trips to London for some years now. Although I no longer have the advantage of having my employer pay the bill I I still love staying in this hotel and consider it good value for money. It is small, comfortable and intimate. Staff adopt a personal approach to their clients' wishes...

Nice hotel, goodservice, nice people. Close to public transport, not very far from the city. I had a room for two, there were two beds, no room for your clothes (5 hangers in a micro cupboard) impossible for two persons. No place for your toalet bag in the bathroom, unacteble small room. Nice and clean, but I am not comming...

The worst experience we have ever lived in a hotel. In a few words, we had a team of building workers exactly beside our room, so we were woken up at 8.30 am on Saturday with an extremely annoying noise (hammers, power drills, electric tools…). Not to mention that we could not open up the blinds because the workers were...

Stayed 4 nights for business trip. Room was small but very clean and nicely equipped. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is great, 30 minutes' walk to Westminster, 5 minutes to Euston tube station, 10 minutes to St. Pancras/King's Cross.

We stayed for 2 nights 4th/5th February, we arrived late from Euston Station which was only a 5 minute walk away & very convenient with suitcases, & easy to find the hotel. The hotel is situated in a great location, near restaurants & bars & shops. The staff were pleasant & when we asked for an iron this was delivered...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
