My partner and I stayed at this hotel from October 3-8. Great location, aceptable room. Overpriced breakfast. Second day in, main elevator went out. Third day in, we found out the cash and watch had been stolen from the safe in the room. Police was called although the reception didn't feel was necessary and after we insisted they called it....

During October/November 2016, we stayed at this hotel. We have stayed here twice before and been quite happy with the hotel and particularly its location. However this time the hotel seems to have undergone a significant change, most of the staff now seem to be Australian. One can only assume that they really do not want to be there, the...

Dear Roy H, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding your stay. Whilst I am so deeply sorry that you have experienced what seems clear to be some shortfalls in service, I do thank you for raising this with us as we as a hotel now. We as a management team take all feedback...

This is possibly the best and friendliest accomodation in Kensington. Being my first time in London I wanted somewhere easy to settle into and close to the city, the Rydges didn't disappoint with a well sized room, helpful staff and brilliant breakfast selection 👍

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here because we wanted to go to winter wonderland in Hyde Park. It's a lovely place to stay and the staff are very friendly. We were upgraded from a queen room to an executive suite. It was very clean except for 1 hair on the hand towel. It's in a great location in Kensington and...

Girls trip! We had 2 rooms with 3 to a room. We requested an end and we were loud so good news is we didn't have complaints! There was a slant into the bathroom which I kept slipping almost tripping out if the bathroom. There were no plugs except for a shaver in the bathroom. Employees were accommodating and stored...

Hi Wendy N, thank you taking the time to review...we Aussies agree the lack of power points in the bathrooms is tough, unfortunately it is the law so we can't get around it. Hopefully you found the hairdryer and mirror in the room helpful!. Glad the team were accommodating, and by the sounds of it and more importantly you had...

This hotel is in a great location to get around London. I arrived at the hotel on the underground from Heathrow late at night and it was very easy to locate. I stayed in a King room which was quite spacious by London standards. I would definitely stay here again

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst on training at the same venue. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly too. I found the hotel bar to be very relaxing with a lovely and friendly member of staff behind the bar. I had no complaints other than portion sizes regarding lunch. The training room, complimentary...

A very nice stay with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Great location diagonally across from the tube station and plenty of places to eat nearby, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores. Only downside was the entrance doors to the hotel which are very heavy, and the steps when lugging heavy suitcases.

Stayed for one night in a Superior Queen room that I got for what I thought was a decent rate (relative to the other rates being offered by comparable places). Best feature is how close it is to the Gloucester Rd station -- no more than half a block away (you can see the hotel's red flags from the station)....

We stayed six nights in an executive king room. The room was plenty big enough for two, and we didn't exactly pack light. Full disclosure, I believe the bed was two singles joined together. This in no way impacted comfort however. There's a small bar and separate restaurant which can cover all meals. Both were nice and reasonably priced. We...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
