Old....VERY, VERY OLD. Bad service. Smelly rooms. Broken toilet. Paying this much but wifi isn't free? Uh...ok. Only good thing? The location. Very central and walking distance to the best hotels, bars and sites. Better hotels in London for the same price.

The location of the hotel is awesome. The room service and restaurants are also stellar. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea every night was amazing. The hotel is in waliking distance to major attractions. However, the toilet was not working for my entire 7 night stay. They sent a plumber each night to put a patch on...

The hotel is quite old. The furniture needs some renewal. But the breakfasts and lunch menu is amazing. The concierge was very good, she managed to find us last tickets to the Antigonie at Barbican with Juliette Binoche which we enjoyed a lot. And generally stuff was very helpful. The hotel can boast it's location. It's just opposite to the...

I traded in points for a week at this property and overall was very pleased. The Pros: --hands down best concierge lounge I've been in. The breakfast selection was extensive and the tea time drinks and small apps were a fantastic way to warm up before heading out in the evenings. --the room was exceptionally large for a European room....

My family and I spent 4 nights at the Grosvenor House in London. The hotel is well situated as it sits next to Hyde Park and in walking distance to all major tourists stops of both London and Westminster. The front desk staff was remarkably attentive, the house keeping group and staff at the platinum lounge were all equally impressive....

Attended an awards night ( black tie) at this hotel, great location to hold such an event. The staff were excellent and the food was very tasteful although not plentiful . Centrally located , short walk to various tube stations and plenty of taxis on hand . A grand hotel for a grand event

Centrally located close to Oxford street and not far from Harrods. In one of London's most prestigious neighborhoods, Mayfair. The hotel has a name and a reputation. The rooms are of good space but old and tired. Furniture is outdated. They cannot be compared to a 5* properties. It needs serious renovation. Don't be fooled by the lobby which is...

Stayed at GH for a meeting (held on the property) and was offered a comp upgrade on check-in. The hotel lobby and bar were impressive on arrival and the team were friendly and inviting. The room was on the 7th floor and had plenty of space (often you find older hotels are small with tiny bathrooms). The bed was a...

Took our 15 year old granddaughter to London for a birthday celebration and this hotel was perfect. Finding rooms large enough for a King and a single isn't easy. Grosvenor House filled the bill. 2 able people came to our very large room with the extra bed and totally rearranged the room for us. Put the bed so she had...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
