We were lucky to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms on the 7th floor of the hotel. The room was very modern and fun! It was very clean feeling and comfy. The main bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep on. Highlights: * Tons of outlets around the room making it easy to connect our laptops and phones for...

I arrived today and I am very disappointed. We were initially placed in a room on the 6th floor which is being renovated. All we could hear was drilling and hammering next door. We asked to be moved and they placed us on the third floor....and AGAIN all we hear are drills since we've been here. Why on earth would...

We decided to stay here to explore a different part of London. Ideally located by Tower Hill underground station - a short walk to Tower Bridge, the Tower of London & a choice of restaurants and bars. Staff in hotel extremely friendly - they ALL acknowledged us. Room very clean and tidy - as was the rest of the hotel....

I stayed here earlier in the month after a Friday night out in London. As I was travelling from Liverpool Street and going home via Fenchurch Street, this hotel was the perfect choice. Tower Hill is a few minutes away, with Fenchurch Street just a few paces in the other direction. I was in a bit of a rush when...

Stayed for one night and found the rooms really good size for London. Modern and functional. Receptionist on arrival wasn't very friendly but improved service improved at check out. Ended up having dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good however the service was really slow. I would stay again.

We stayed here in a family room as we prefer the quieter location of the City even though we were visiting Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We arrived around midday and were able to store our bags with the hotel so we could head off for the day. Right next door to Tower Hill so easy access to West End....

I stayed here with a friend whilst on a trip to London. I had booked a family room with a sofa bed and put a request for the sofa bed to be made up for us. Upon arrival at after 3pm the room wasn't ready when we arrived despite it being past check in time. This was a little frustrating....

On arrival the receptionist wasn't very forth coming with information. Literally just handed me my key card. Didn't care to point me in the direction of the lift or say my room number. She could have been a lot more welcoming. When I got to my room which was level 4, I was pleasantly surprised by the good size. I...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
