A wonderful experience in wonderful part of London. Perfect for exploring Hyde Park, Nottinghill and he Natural History, Royal Albert, and Science museums. The historical pubs within walking distance are very charming.

We chose this hotel on price, location and the included breakfast! We were not disappointed on any level. We had requested a quiet room as we had just arrived from Australia and were allocated a quiet room on the first floor. Check in was friendly and efficient. The layout of the hotel is quirky, a bit of a rabbit warren...

Arrived around 130 and no issues with early check in. Welcomed with the hot cookie, recognised as a silver member all with a smile. Offered help with bag also but was fine. Room on 2nd floor. Had to go to floor one and walk up a small flight of stairs and round the corridor to 245. Was a very good...

Staff can make or break a hotel stay and the staff here were so helpful and friendly, they really enhanced our stay. They switched us to a room that accommodated our baby crib and were always welcoming. Hotel staff should be welcoming, you say? Agreed, but sadly, this is often not the case. We would stay here again, in a...

Ideal hotel for evening event at the Natural History Museum. Room very quiet. Just disappointed not to be able to get a drink at 00.45hrs on return from function. Breakfast good quality. Check out was a little slow. Overall would certainly stay here again.

Location is just a 5 minute walk from South Kensington tube station. Walk along Old Brompton Road until Queens Gate and the hotel is just across the road on the left, opposite the Kensington Hotel. It's a lovely neighbourhood with coffee shops, bistros etc. You'll feel perfectly safe walking to the hotel. Staff at the hotel were outstanding, friendly and...

An enjoyable stay while visiting the close by Royal Albert Hall spoiled by an uncomfortable bed. We had booked a table at the RAH but should we return to this hotel will sample the dinner menu as the breakfast was very good, reception and bar staff were faultless and the room clean and pleasant. A new mattress would have lifted...

Easy to find, with plenty of restaurants near by. Good check-in and lovely warm cookies. The room was smaller than expected for a 'Superior room' but it was just for one night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but even with the heating off in November, it was so warm that we had to have the window...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
