Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great base for 1 night. Walkable from Euston or Tottenham Court Road station a 5 minute brisk walk away. Walkable to Oxford Street and the theatre district too. Staff were nice and room was clean. Freezing evening in London but room was a good temperature. Lots of stairs involved (e.g. staircase down to reception then more depending on what floor your room is on) and no lift - we were fine with this but appreciate others may not be. Toilet had an annoying dripping noise all night but we managed (if we had been staying longer we may have brought it up). Cooked breakfast was nice. I would stay again if I was in London for a night.

A lovely old building, but tired. No help with cases up stairs. There were 4 of us so had a large apartment with one room, the two fold out beds were placed in the lounge. Fairly clean apartment with some paint flaking from the ceiling, threadbare carpet and a very low tired couch. Huge bathroom but the hand/ body soap they supplied smelt aweful. We did not find any of the bedding to be comfortable at all. For the included hot breakfast you are asked what you would like and it can take 30 minutes or more for this to arrive. Sometimes there is fresh fruit, sometimes not. One morning we were the first to arrive when the dining room opened and asked for our breakfast to be cooked first because we were going on a tour but when the same guy came to the dining room to take the orders, he took other guests orders first, by the time it arrived we literally had 5 minutes to eat. So disorganised. Getting a taxi is little questionable especially early hours of the morning they seem to cancel (we got told there was a taxi strike) the original taxi you booked and have some guy turn up in his family car, cash only. This happened more than once. We would not stay here again.

Rooms are small but comfortable, not really in love with the bathroom but it worked. Breakfast was the star full English breakfast. Close to both the British museum and the Tottenham Court road subway station. Location and hotel worked for our needs. They stored our luggage for us, fyi stairs to rooms.

My family and I have stayed at the Morgan Hotel for many years. It is one of the most conveniently located small hotels. You can walk to The British Museum, Covent Garden and many great places to eat. It is always clean and with great staff. I am in my late 70s and this last visit has made me realize that I can no longer stay at The Morgan. We were placed on the fourth floor with no lift and no a/c. The carpets are shabby, the draperies are falling apart and it was VERY difficult to manage the stairs, most especially with luggage. I will repeat,,,,,,it is very clean and has great staff.

If I could leave a -1000 review I would! They refused to accommodate my disability. I cannot climb stairs! I recently had open heart surgery! Nowhere did it state on their site they DO NOT have an elevator. Then refused to help with bags and put me on the 1st floor. They also DO NOT have air conditioning! THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY even though they rented my room to someone else as I was leaving! The office is in the musty smelling basement! Carpet was gross and needed replaced desperately!

Dear smcris, Thank you for choosing Morgan Hotel and for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience. We sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify areas where we can enhance our services. We are sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. After having investigated this with our colleagues who worked on that day, we were not able to fulfil your request as it was not made prior to arrival but even though we offered a room on a lower floor, this was denied by yourself. Our colleague also offered help with your bags which was also refused by yourself. The room you were given has Air conditioning and at no point there was a request for a refund and we would not have re-sold a room after a guest has stayed as the room needs to be cleaned and prepared for the following guest. I hope you will give us a chance by staying with us again to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception. Sincerely, Adrian G Team Leader

We chose this hotel because of the location. It was close to the tube, within walking distance. Also close to the restaurant and theatre we chose, around 20 minutes to walk. The rooms were clean and we were greeted with friendly staff. It was however very small and I felt like we had stepped back in time to my Uni digs. If you want luxury this is not it. If you want a clean, basic well run hotel then it perfect. £200 per night was too much.

We just returned home after a seven night stay at the Morgan Hotel. We have a family of four and chose one ir one bedroom apartments. It was LOVELY. The apartment was very clean and quant. The high ceiling were gorgeous. The rooms were very large and provided space for my family and the kitchenette was a nice bonus. We were able to put our children in one room and my husband and I in the other. Both had TVs and we all enjoyed winding down with that after 12 hour days out exploring. The beds were so very comfortable and the staff was wonderful at tidying our rooms up daily. We even had a large patio where we could enjoy coffee, tea, etc. This hotel’s location is a five minute walk from tube lines and buses. Plus, there are many great eats within a three minute walk as well. Great neighborhood! Breakfast each morning was lovely. The service is friendly and accommodating, and breakfast is included with your hotel stay. There is an array of cold breakfast items, and you can custom order any hot items you would like from the kitchen. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel! I cannot say enough about how lovely it was. Truly, what a find! Thank you, Morgan Hotel, for making our stay in London comfortable and easy! I will definitely be recommending you to friends and family!

.y daughter and I stayed here for 1 night, we were going to a show at The Collesseum so the location for this hotel is perfect. On arrival we were somewhat disappointed as it looked much smaller than we'd seen online. Our twin room was right at the top, 3 floors up and with no lift and suitcases it was tough. The room was fairly small but contained everything we needed and was very clean. The sliding door to the bathroom didn't close completely and the shower took ages to get warm and the flow was very weak. Breakfast was served down in the basement (lots of stairs!) , we both had full English which we enjoyed but it took a long time to arrive, luckily we weren't in any hurry The stairs and hallways look shabby and need some refurbishment however for 1 night only it was ok and close to Covent garden, the British Museum and Tottenham Court Rd ( and Primark). I wouldn't stay again due to the stairs, certainly my other daughter wouldn't manage up to the top floor and doubtful many elderly people would either. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

This hotel was in a great, central location. The staff were fantastic, so helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was very basic but well cooked. However the hotel and room was also very dark and dingy. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment, on the whole though, great value for money for the price .
