This is one of those old London houses that has been turned into a hotel. It is situated within a few minutes walk from St Pancras International rail station. The accommodation appears to have recently been revamped and is very comfortable and very compact! We had a 2 single bed room with a closet like toilet, shower and basin……also very compact. We requested a room with minimal stairs as there is no elevator. This turned out to be a perfect place for a night as we were leaving for Amsterdam the next day.

Dear guest, Thank you for considering the Alhambra Hotel a PERFECT PLACE TO STAY for a night when in London. The Alhambra Hotel is a listed Grade 2 1840's building with a GREAT LOCATION right next Kings Cross, St Pancras and surrounded by restaurants, pubs and bars in the area. It offers CLEAN, MODERN accommodation at a GREAT VALUE and with FRIENDLY STAFF. Rooms are not large due to its location but functional and compact. We are happy you had a positive experience and we hope to welcome you again on a future occasion. Kind Regards Hotel manager

There isn't much for a reasonable price at Kings Cross / St. Pancras but Alhambra at it's price is excellent. The room is in an older building so sound proofing isn't as good as a modern hotel, despite that I had an excellent, quiet stay. Rooms are small but big enough to work in, it was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful even for trivial items. Highly recommended!

Dear guest, Thank you for such kind comments about the Alhambra Hotel. We are delighted you found it to offer VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN PREMISES and FRIENDLY STAFF. We do not have a big budget when it comes to advertising and marketing, unlike some other hotels, but we offer a simple and genuine service for over 50 years. That is our greatest strength and success. We hope to see you all again on your next trip to London. Best regards Hotel Manager

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The 2 rooms we were allocated backed onto the courtyard on the opposite side of the road from reception. We were surprised how quiet it was! So handy for central London and all main stations too. Also plenty of lovely places to eat/drink in the area. Very clean and brilliant to have a secure place for luggage. The shower was hot but not powerful (but sufficient)...... probably because we were staying at the top of the building. We would definitely stay again.

Overall we had an ok experience, and might consider staying here again in future if we're on a tight budget. The hotel is perfect location wise, being only a few minutes walk from King's Cross train station, which was ideal for us when we went in August. The stairway to get up to the 3rd floor on which our room was was quite narrow, so just be aware if you have larger luggage that you might struggle. The room itself was nice and clean, but the bed definitely was not a double size as advertised. I have a double at home, and it was definitely smaller. Struggled to fit 2 adults in it lying next to each other, made for a pretty uncomfortable night's sleep. It was very warm both nights that we stayed, so they would definitely benefit from having a fan in the room or on the wall somewhere. There is a small sink in the room, but the water pressure from the tap was hardly enough to wash toothpaste down so was pretty useless. The shared bathroom facilities were nice and clean, but the toilet was extremely small and cramped. Not much room at all to sit down comfortably. Security was very good, with a key to get into the main entrance and a fob to open the YALE lock on the door to the room. Reception is also available 24/7 which is a good perk. This hotel offered a very competitive rate compared to the majority of others within the area, and we managed to get a good deal for the 2 nights that we stayed.

One night stay to catch an early train. My room was located in the basement (!). Very noisy, thin ceilings you can hear everything and you hear the subway very much too. Tiny bathroom and last, the blanket is not big enough to cover all the bed length… To avoid.

Great hotel for me as I had an early morning train to catch. Warm welcome. Room was tiny but well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Efficient and friendly staff. Plenty of options for dining locally. My room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor- inevitably there was some road / pavement noise, but this was not excessive.

I left my phone charger and double adaptor on the desk plugged into the wall. Careless! In many hotels, this would have been the end. Housekeeping handed it in and reception answered my question whether they have it with 'yes we have it and we can mail it to you'. It arrived in Australia in a padded post bag two weeks later. 5/5 for customer response and customer service. Much appreciated.
