a short 5 minute walk from the Earl's Ct Piccadilly tube stop & fairly close to Kensington
Garden, a great intermediary location between London's center & Heathrow. Close by
are several restaurants, pubs, fast food options, though many have closed or are only
available for takeaway due to the lockdown.
Staff are friendly at both check in & check out which is quick with so few travellers.
As always, the welcome drink for "ALL" members is a nice perk. The normally free
breakfast buffet is understandably not currently available, but they do supply a brown
bag breakfast w/muffin, croissant, OJ & an apple.
The walls, desktops, carpets are showing signs of use, though not a real issue.
While my room's heat did not work, the staff were able to provide a portable heater!
Relative to other hotels in the area, the Ibis Styles Kensington is a great value.

We booked to see the Tutankhamun exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery and also Cirque du Soleil at the Albert hall so this hotel was perfect. We have stayed at the Ibis Styles in Liverpool and were very happy with it. We booked b/b and were greeted with a smile when we arrived. The only thing I would say is our room was very small and it was a struggle to get down the side of the bed. A single bed would fit perfectly. The bathroom was well appointed the bath towels could be bigger. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was very nice with freshly baked bread and jams were in lovely glass pots so not plastic. It was basically a continental breakfast with very good quality cheese and ham and boiled eggs and good coffee too and Skimmed milk, a big plus for me. We had drinks in the bar and all the staff were lovely and friendly. Would visit again in any location.

Dear Guest, I would like to thank you for taking the time to post your comments online after your recent stay with us here at ibis Styles London Kensington. I am delighted that you have enjoyed your time with us and that the hotel met with your expectations in terms of cleanliness and customer service. I am also glad that you enjoyed our buffet breakfast selection. Due to the layout of the hotel, our bedroom size does vary. Why not try one our family rooms on your next visit. These are larger rooms with a desk and maybe more suited for your needs. Once again I would like to thank you for taking the time to post your review and I look forward to welcoming you back. Kind Regards, Diana Ionescu Guest Service Manager

I stayed here on 2 separate occasions during August for several nights each time. The first was at the beginning of the month and the hotel was acclimatizing to the Covid-19 hygiene measures. There were alcohol gels at the main entrance but the ones by the lifts were constantly empty on the 3 nights I stayed there, but this improved on my second stay at the end of August. Reception staff were friendly. The rooms were clean. Understandable the bed linen and towels were not changed during the several night stay, but a lot of guests left rubbish and used plates outside their rooms and not collected by anyone for days.

There is no sit down breakfast facility but a breakfast bag-to-go which you collect at reception. The contents of which are inconsistent each day. Sometimes a croissant or pastry is enclosed and sometimes not. There is usually a cereal bar and a piece of fruit. I have to say the Ibis Styles in Glasgow offers a more substantial bag to go but still does not compare to Holiday Inn Express who also provides a hot bacon or sausage sandwich and a bowl of cereal with a carton of milk as well as yoghurt, which Ibis Styles does not. You have to go to the basement level if you want to use the coffee machine. This is closed after 10:30am.

Overall a pleasant stay, convenient to Earls Court station and plenty of eating places nearby.

Very basic hotel. Small sparse rooms. Worst breakfast selection I have seen in a hotel - all items tasted like they were from a supermarket ‘value’ range.

I stayed here twice in March; I am glad my employer was paying as I would be furious if I had paid to stay here.

My first room had the clothes rail above the kettle facility; very unhygienic. The room was very small and smelled of ‘toilet’. The bathroom in this room was so small it was difficult to move about in without bumping into something.

The second room was slightly larger, with a larger bathroom too. The layout was better, with the clothes rail away from the kettle but this room was slightly more worn, with stains on the curtains and carpet. The sash window did not close tightly and was slightly rotten.

The only positives I can identify are - reception staff very friendly and it is a quiet road for central London, so I slept well.

You should be aware that there are no wardrobes in rooms. Iron/ironing board can be borrowed from reception as there are none in the room.

Me and my boyfriend decided to stay here 3 nights over bank holiday weekend and it was our first outing since covid 19 started we understand you wouldn't be able to eat breakfast like normal so that was fine you have to go to reception and get a bag which includes a croissant, orange juice, apple, cereal bar and a muffin inside which you have to eat inside your room. This is fine but no option of a hot drink or anything. We never got given any fresh towels throughout our stay so we had the same towels for 2 nights until we had to ask reception for more towels they should have something in place as they are not coming in the rooms which is understandable they should still be able to give fresh towels everyday or tell you, you can pick them up at reception but no one said anything. On our 3rd night we got back from a busy day out and about and found a silver fish in our bed this creeped me out and had to check all the bedding and towels ect luckily this was the only one we found but this wasnt nice and I didn't really sleep that well because of this. My boyfriend has also got bitten throughout the night on his back so unsure if there are other bugs in the room. The only upside to the hotel is the location which is really good and not far from the tube station and pretty much not that far from anywhere in London. Because of the insects and lack of communication about fresh towels ect I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 26 days as our accommodation when we're usually in the UK was not available. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was cosy (tip: if you buy fresh flowers every week to have in the room, that's even better and will make you feel like home), the ladies who were cleaning the hotel/rooms were always nice and respectful and the location of the hotel is fantastic. Every day we went for walks after work around the areas and we found some really nice routes through some pretty and posh streets. We got along well with all the staff as they were all nice and very helpful, however we really appreciated mrs Diana, from reception, who has helped us with some information if the area, around future long stays at the hotel and prices and was always very smiley. It's always a pleasure to pass by the people working in the hotel you're in and get a nice "good morning" or a nice response.

We also had breakfast included, which was a bonus despite of the fact that it was more a snack, as because of covid they had to give us a take-away bag with: a muffin, some biscuits, an apple, a croissant and a juice. But to be honest.. The price we paid at this time of the year for the service/facilities we've got, was fantastic. I would've been OK with changing my own bed sheets 🤣

Therefore this is also a kind thank you, to everyone who made our stay feel very welcome.

Over the past few months I have stayed numerous times at the Ibis Styles Kensington whilst conducting business in the area in lines with government guidelines on overnight stays.

Thanks go to the staff and management for remaining open and for continuing to provide excellent professional, friendly and efficient service during these difficult times of the pandemic.

The hotel is very well located, just off the busy main A4 road, on a side street with on street parking and away from the noise of the main road.

The hotel’s location is excellent for access to London’s public transport network; Earls Court underground station is a two minute walk away which is served by the Piccadilly line with direct links to Heathrow Airport, the West End and King Cross St Pancras International Station together with the District and Central Lines which provide access to Victoria, Paddington, the City of London and numerous tourist attractions.

The area is well served by the London bus network; there is a Santander London Cycle Station one minute away.

The National History, the Science and the V&A museums are fifteen minutes walk, with Harrods only twenty minutes away, as is the shopping area of High Street Kensington.

There are some good (and not so good) local restaurants and pubs again at the end of the street within two minutes walk; including most of the major takeaway chains like KFC, McDonalds, Burger King together with a branch of M&S Simply Food and a Co-op Food store plus Prêt a Manger, Caffe Nero and Costa Coffee there are also banks and foreign exchange kiosks as well as chemists and medical centre.

The hotel is well maintained and in good decorative order, the rooms are cosy and comfortable; beds aid a good night’s sleep; the modern contemporary bathrooms have good water pressure and are spotlessly clean. The televisions are good and the free Wi-Fi is okay.

During the pandemic the breakfast room is closed, the only option is a grab and go breakfast bag which is the only poor aspect of the hotel; the offering is terriionble some might say a joke.

Stay at the Ibis Styles Kensington you will get a warm welcome, a very good room, in a good location and value for money.

Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for a quiet, pleasant hotel then this is the place.

It’s clean, tidy, uncluttered like other hotels. The staff are brilliant and friendly, they all seem like they love they jobs which is great.

With all this years covid restrictions, this hotel has clearly taken it very serious! All areas were clean and the staff were wiping, spraying and making sure not only areas were clean but also guest were wearing masks as well.
The location is really helpful for anyone who wants to work, shop or enjoy the areas around, it has restaurant, shops and activity places in walking distance.

I’ll be definitely re booking again as this will be the first time i’ve stopped in London and been treated well and felt safe.

Thanks guys!

This was a quick decision stay, but despite booking an hour in advance, there was a room available and was given a great welcome. The room wasn’t big at all but looked clean. Upon arrival, we got advised that there is breakfast every morning from 6am-10am, it is packaged and ready at reception so you simply take it back to the room. Room service is only available if you stay more than 3 days. Breakfast included: croissant, breakfast bar, juice box, and a chocolate chip muffin.
As the room was rather small, the bathroom was quite an average size, with what you expect. Unfortunately the taps on the shower they were full of limescale, and there seemed to be a leak in the pipes as the water kept dripping all throughout the night. If you are visiting whilst it’s cold outside you will be fine, the rooms do heat up quite nicely. If you are staying whilst it’s hot, do make sure that’s he aircon works.
Aircon is positioned by the door with instructions how to use. Sadly it didn’t work, it would switch on and switch right off after a few seconds so there was a brief 2 second breeze. Upon checking out, I did a quick look around the room to see how clean it really was. The mattress had red stains on it from what looks like to be red wine. There was loose long hair all around the room. The taps in the bathroom were fitted incorrectly so the hot water is actually cold and vice versa. There was damp where the shower had dropped outside the door.
Overall the service was great, the room was average. Would stay again as it’s a great location to everything. Train station is 5 minute walk, there is also lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

Stayed at the Ibis alone in summer, really good location, 2 min walk to Earl’s Court underground which is on Piccadilly line can be at all major attractions in 15 mins! Also on the line for Heathrow. Also less than 20 mins walk to the Natural History Museum, V&A and Royal Albert Halls. Double room was very small but didn’t expect much else for such a good price in the area. The only other things I would say I the air con in the room wasn’t very powerful and the room was very warm, don’t pay for the breakfast during COVID it a small paper bag breakfast and not worth it at all you can walk two mins down the road and get a great cooked breakfast and/or pastries and finally the hotel is just a little bit more run down than the pictures day so but that’s the same anywhere really! Overall a very clean hotel with great staff, fantastic location and great for a pit stop place to stay! Overall great stay, would definitely recommend to others.
